How do you get the domain liked up to google sites if you never get the txt value screen? Mine just auto verifies and will only steer the domain back to google sites address
Are you the administrator of the google site? Sometimes this is the issues with setting a custom domain name and the configuration changes will show up differently than in the video. What step do you complete right before you should see or have access to the txt value screen?
hi there im following your steps for adding a custom domain which is verified but when i went back into the set up custom domain screen the check mark does not show up like yours does.
You may need to add the new custom domain in the settings of the google site. Mine did the same. I believe I had to remove the initial add then add new in that settings window. Let me know what you find.

Hi, What specific issue are you experiencing? e.g. List of custom domains not showing in configuration window, configuration window shows custom domain but site does not display correct content when visiting the domain in the address bar etc. Also, Are there any error messages, unusual behavior, or patterns you’ve noticed to help me understand what you are experiencing?

Disregard. I see what is going on. I am creating a website for a school project. I have to use my school google email. That means, I am not the full administrator of the site! So I cannot change the domain name. Unfortunately, I just bought one. So that's a bummer.

Now here is the problem and I go back to google site ( in custom domain) it keep saying to verify the account. What I am doing wrong. I would appreciate your help. Thank you
If you know you did it in correct order try clearing browser cache and even opening google site in edit mode to see changes. I believe in one case I needed to delete the custom domain name on google site then create it again. Exactly yes @BP2Cofficial name cheap is a site to purchase domain names like in the case you would like a custom name for your google site. This is not necessary and you can use the domain name that google sites gives you. I just wanted to show how to connect a custom domain which could be from namecheap, go daddy or some other domain name purchasing site.

mine does not tell me to wait for 48 hrs but the url still show google sites

The custom domain no longer exists under settings.
