I started playing D&D in 1986 and was living in a small town. My parents were well aware that I played, my friends parents too, no adults ever bothered us, occasionally, other kids tried to bug us but we told them to "Bug off". As an adult looking back, it seems pretty darn obvious that the kids who tragically killed themselves had mental health issues that they didn't get help with and that's terribly sad.
I love D&D. My evangelical parents threw away all my D&D books in the 80s. They told me playing D&D made me a satan worshipper, because some visiting pastor told them D&D was satanic. I run a D&D game every Friday night for my family, and It's the best bonding time of our week.
What could possibly link all these firearm suicides? Could there possibly be something linking all these deaths by firearms? I'm sure there are many things, but what is it about these firearm suicides that is important?
I lived through this. A friend's parents threw away his 2nd Ed Blood Angels army (including a Mephiston I had painted for him) because the art in the rulebooks appeared "Satanic"

I was just watching the documentary on Netflix Sons of Sam and it deals a lot with the satanic cults of the 80's. Very interesting watch as well.

I can remember the local evangelical church in Hadfield UK handing out anti D&D leaflets in the street
This bullshit stigmatized me in the 80s and caused me problems with my parents and peers.
