I'm sitting here watching this and thinking Gary was like "This is the easiest gig ever. I just let these three go and check off questions as they answer them." Hearing from these three was wonderful. Especially hearing Andrea Romano talk about the process. Really hope the Blu Ray has more of her talking about making the show, because it's really a huge part about why these shows hold up so well while others are just 'oh, yeah, I think I remember that.' If she ever decides she wants to do a Masterclass, I'm absolutely signing up for that.
I'm all in. :) I met Kevin Conroy, he's still cool and always has and still will be my Batman growing up in the 1990's. Along with the other good cartoon of DCAU ones.
Just gonna get in early and remind everyone that Kevin would be perfect for Bruce Wayne in a live action Batman Beyond. Tall, strong jaw... With just the slightest work and good choreography he could definitely stare down the big guy in the Jokerz outside Wayne Manor before clubbing them with his walking stick. That and all the scenes that its just his voice over comms will be an exact match. That is all
The actor's name is Mathew Valencia. Wow Andrea did the voice of crying Tim Drake/Robin that's incredible. I also remember Andrea Romano voicing Giganta for split second when she does a grunt as Superman punches her and she falls down.
They are good but nothing can stand against the rogues of btas. Those are the gold standard mainly because they are so sympathetic and well rounded. Terry's rogues were a bit simple and one dimensional. Where batman and his rogues are all connected on a deep psychological level.
@@robertrogers074 Maybe. I think Shriek hates him the most because he blames him for his loss of hearing. I still wish Blight could have came back after Season 1 though.
@@TrippleBPlays true but I say inque because of much trouble she did to Bruce and terry, one of the rare villains to get in the batcave and almost killed them when she had a trap that made bruce come out of retirement, awesome episode.
It's so criminal that in the sea of animated batman movies, the beyond universe hasn't gotten one since return of the joker and that was 20 years ago. Why won't DC do more with the Beyond world? Yes there it has a comic series but I'm waiting for more animated material. I really miss Terry, Old Bruce, Dana, Max, Ace, the jokerz and the justice league beyond, as well as the rogues gallery.

Amazing series and I loved how they borrowed elements from John Hughes films especially with Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, little of Ferris Bueller's day off during the season 2 arc. Season 1 arc definitely was corporate espionage, sabotage, internal politics which really pushed the limits giving it a mature content for a kids show. Also the continuing the tradition of bringing in established actors from film and television for guest starring roles definitely made it stand out like the other DC animated shows. I had a hard time believing Will Friedle from Boy Meets World voicing Terry McGinnis/Batman of the future and gave a convincing performance and you felt he was playing a completely different role.
Am I the only person that wonders what it would be like if Batman beyond somehow met Kim possible and Ron stoppable? Tell me that wouldn't be cool. LOL :-)
20+ years later and this show still hold ups really well.
All the dcau shows from the 1990s and early 2000s still hold up.

One thing that doesn't get talked about is Terry's rogues gallery. Inque, Curare, Stalker and Blight the obvious stand outs.
I think inque is his greatest enemy.
