I love that Karl saw structural damage in his home and rather than fix it, he took a Dremel tool and cut the grout out around each individual tile, and then just went back and filled in the grooves.
I take it you're American? A damaged wall doesn't necessarily affect structure here. We actually build real houses, you know, out of bricks. We don't build the second little pig's house and fill it with plaster.

re doing grout like this is the worst, I do tiles by trade, and if or when a customer asks for this I instantly turn it down if you don't want new tiles ✌️, easier to pull them all down install new ones than do what he's doing!!
Karl was always hilarious, but by this point i waa beginning to tire of Ricky uses him aa a prop, or "character" to peddle. I know some old achool Xfm fans hate anyone describing Karl as a "character", but it's undeniable when you listen to the old episodes all the way through. If not character, then a caricature of himself.
By the Podcasts he definitely became too self aware. But tbh I don't blame him. It's natural human behaviour when people acted so positively to you, you then sometimes maybe try too hard.
I hear ya… but, also, do you not think after 40 episodes (120 hours), and 3 travel shows (400+ hours of footage and being filmed)…. That he’s just a little more comfortable with himself on radio/tv. In the beginning, his girlfriend and his parents were against him being the ‘idiot’ on air… with embarrassing stories involving them. But once the money came rolling in - they were more supportive so Karl didn’t have to hold back.
@@JDAfrica I think if there were a financial incentive involved like in Karl's position, anybody would mold in to anything asked of them, 100%. Karl made it clear from the very beginning that he didn't like the spotlight and people knowing what he looked like or what he does in his spare time or Susan for that matter. After years of doing podcasts, publishing a book or two and co-piloting with Gervais and Merchant, being in the spotlight would become all too familiar and easier to cope with, retrospectively speaking of course. Karl was moulded or fashioned by Ricky and Merchant in the very early days, without them nobody would of heard of Karl and his auntie Nora farting for 5 minutes, or his dad nickin' from phone boxes in Wales, or Susan having a haircut that looked like Dave Hill from Slade.

Which meant he couldn’t hang any pictures on the wall. - electrical / light sockets in his flat while he was retiling, and left the bare wires exposed and connected (bent up out the way). - “repairing things around the house that mi girlfriend has f()cked up”. “I feel like I’m the caretaker for Suzanne’s flat”
I have a challenge for any Karl fan. Find audio of *his*radio show he had before ever meeting Ricky and Steve. It never existed, it's just a back story made up for Karl.
There isn't audio because he was a producer for XFM so didn't do any talking on air, wasn't a presenter and didn't have his own show. He worked on the everyday running of the radio station. Then, he was assigned to be Ricky and Steve's producer when they had a slot on XFM. They liked him so much they decided to get him talking on their show. All the recordings from their XFM show are on spotify where this is explained numerous times. Why are you talking nonsense about a made-up back story like you're some kind of whistle blower?
