I think that troll kid was the first character appeared in that show and sang his song before the witch appeared, it probably happened when the lights flickered with a thunder sound effect for the witch's entrance and that troll hid behind a tree on the left of the performing scene, the witch stands behind her tent laughing with her broomstick with smoke from that hidden fog machine on the right of that scene.
