    All Owerri needs is good roads, grass planting, some high rise buildings and hype. Owerri is amazing

    The Imo Governor should woo, as well as give an ultimatum to big companies like Samsung, AirPeace, oil companies and banks doing business in Owerri to build a corporate presence in Owerri - with a building not less than 8 floor highrise. If I am made Imo Governor, I will turn Owerri into the Dubai of Africa. within 4 years. I am serious

      Lol 8 floor high rise building that would be half empty? Why not 8 floor high rise building for accomodation seeing how small the east is so we can manage land space or ask for modern architectural buildings.

      @@DarlingtonIyke Yes, we are on the same page. We should be building high rise buildingd from now onwards to save land in Igboland for agricultural and industrial projects. The high rise will not be empty as you think. A lot of people will love to live at the top floors because of the beautiful views. Schools, hospitals, restaurants banks, telecoms, telephone, computer repairs/sales, law firms, hair salons, dental and other businesses will rent out the buildings in a jiffy because of the class it will confer on their businesses

    How many people currently live in Owerri, its not busy at all. But that may be a good thing, people should begin serious city planning and build it up. I like that its not houses only, but also flats and hotels. The government needs to make much much wider roads where possible and began planning long term for the future, maybe even add buses lanes, they need modern drainage. They should just work on making the place attractive for investment.

    • @solomonKachi7000
      @solomonKachi7000 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Then work with Abia and establish a new renovated modern SG rainlway connection to Aba from there Aba most either develop a port or build a serious SG railway to Port Harcourt. No one can start any serious business in a city till there are ways to move goods freely and easily..in and out

    • @solomonKachi7000
      @solomonKachi7000 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      However in the end for now Imo govt needs to be serious, they very wide roads, better drainage, paved roads and a power generation scheme. If they can do that while keeping observation of city development they can react and guide where necessary

      Once those exist it will be natural for companies to come because its easier to do large business without being bottlenecked all the time by power constraints, poor logistic infrastructure. They must visit Kigali, Rwanda and see its hospitable environment and logistic pathways and then realize that Owerri is closer to the ocean and its people can speak English, there is potential being wasted

    Imo state have nothing to offer her youths, no industry, no gain full employment, too many public transport, hood private houses, but how can they maintain these homes without a good employment. Everyone is Buying and selling and state government ministries that is not sustainable.. The governor is spending the state money hosting dignitaries, conferences, I am sorry for imolites. You don't emperor people by giving them buses and taxis but industries, self employment (skill acquisition will go a long way..
