Experimenting the Animation Sample project and a custom character mesh and skeleton

- After the release of the animation sample project, I wanted to test how flexible/easy it would be to setup from a character with a rig hierarchy that differ from the standard Unreal base model.
I got this custom made model provided from a friend and my previous one setup in there super quick. Like roughly 1h-2h, the longest part was to get familiar with the base provided.
if you could do a tutorial on how you did that it would help me alot because i am in a loop with this problem

Just skip directly around 1:30:00 and follow it from there :). His explanation are super clear, and make it step by step.
(By the way, that guy is also the guy who did the AdvancedLocomotionSystem) :)
Heyy i wanted to check it out too , but i am a unity dev and i wanna know how to set up our custom character and stuff for this can you make a small tutorial :D
I'll think about it, however you realize that it is a sample project for Unreal right ? (since you mentioned about Unity)

Change some animations?
I did not change any animations at that point, it was strictly to check how much troubles (or easy) it would be to get a custom character mesh in there
