How to fit VW Transporter T6.1 LED DRL dynamic headlights from Transporter HQ UK and Europe.

- With the right tools its an easy enough job. It take's about half an hour if you fancy having a go yourself. If not show this video to your local garage to help them do it.
These are pull and play, no errors, no warning lights on the dash.

Got mine this week and installed on wednesday, and watched T6.1 black grill video to take my bumper off. Lights need adjusting as where pointing too high and high beam we’re all over the place. Black looks epic on my 22 pure grey startline. Much better that standard halogens

I'm also verry happy with these new lights they installed them this week at the garage. Today I adjusted the main beam lights at another garage and now everything is good. The only thing is that my High Beam lights are pointing a bit to low. Does anyone else has that?

Yep got mine last week and as others used the grill replace video as most of guidance, then worked out the remainder as this vid wasn’t out yet - easy job and love the new headlights on 😎

What a faff to change a head light ,back in the good old days it was 2 ten mms and a Philip screw ,now it looks like a front end rebuild lol still the headlights look fantastic so worth the effort, glad I ordered my van with factory LED lights, Lazer lamps front grill and a full width roof mounted light bar on my brand new t6.1 lwb highline swamper 😃

Hi Andy my factory LED HEAD LIGHT packed up on Saturday morning, dropping the van off to volkswagan this evening for a new headlight ,still can't believe how much that has to be dismantled to remove a head light lol. So much for volkswagan reliability
I'm really thrilled they're finally available!! Some queries concerning road legality:
Is it possible to get some more info on the "E-mark"? I assume the E-marks are the same, whether I order the headlights with halogen bulbs or H7-LED fitted?
Also is the certification only valid for DRL or also for main beam and dip beam? Do we get a document with the purchase, showing that these headlights were built and tested for the use in a T6.1?

The headlights themselves are emarked with halogen bulbs. The mark is on the lens themselves. LED's aren't be e-marked for use in the Uk

Hi Guys, Just ordered mine, looking forward to getting them. One question which you skip in the video is putting the bumper back on. You say it needs quite a tug to get it off. How easy is replacement? Does it ilocate and pop back in easily? Love to see that bit included in the vid... Thanks
Yes it's easy to get on.

Hi, I have these fitted to my 6.1 with the standard halogen bulbs. Can I swap them for the H7 LED bulbs without having to take the bumper off and full light out?
I'm going to do this at the same time as I upgrade my Startline front end to Highline, the Startline headlights are a bit cack... Slightly off topic, but how are the bumper guide brackets attached to the bumper-are they reusable? So could I remove my Startline bumper, remove the brackets then attach them to the Highline bumper? Or would I need new ones 🤔
The led bulb package says off road only, surely that makes it non road legal regardless of the headlamp unit?
Because they are behind a projector in our lights, they pass all MOT's.

Yeah I agree. The factories just don't want to make new styles for vehicles that stopped being made 7 years ago. Believe we I've tried.
If its a headlamp you put lamps in bulbs are tulip daffodils

Do you need to disconnect the front parking sensors before bumper removal?
They are on the same loom and connector as the fog lights.
how easy is it to replace the lamps of the standard T6.1 for the led ones WITHOUT removing the bumper ?
To just change the bulbs in the standard headlights, it's super easy
Hi I have a 2022 English spec VW T6.1 Caravelle Exec. modified in Dorset to enable me to drive from my power chair then shipped to
New Zealand for final fit out incl. Dahl wheelchair docking system.
I like the Caravelle to drive but my only concern is driving with dipped LED head lights at night is it's like a blind has been pulled down
the upper section of the windscreen and forward vision is little more than 50 metres with a distinct line of illumination at this point.
I drive on unlit country roads much like English country roads from my memory of my stay in Essex in the late 70's

Does the headlight levelling function switch in the cabin still work with these?
Yes it does. They have motors built in. Thats part of the e-mark requirement all our light have

No they are a very different shape but we do a T6 headlight too
