    Cannot hear last syllable in dom. Is that intentional? That one was most challenging. I need more like that.

    Why do sopranos need to leave earlier? Is it to not stretch the chest voice upwards?

    Hello Dot How would I get/purchase this & other of your exercises to use with my students? I have already downloaded your helpful Exercise Routine Guide and use some of those exercises as I am not a piano player & unable to do these scale exercises otherwise. Thank you

      @@DotsSinging Hello thank you. Have you got the vocal exercises in Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced categories?
      Is the 20 minute Vocal Power exercise, on your TH-cam channel or Riffs & Runs Vocal Warm Up (for example), in one of your album bundles or able to be purchased? Do these exercises when purchased, come with a printed download of the notation & information as to how to go about doing the exercise, as are displayed on the TH-cam screen when watched, so I can get students to purchase the scales/bundles we are working on? Sorry for so many questions.

    • @DotsSinging
      @DotsSinging  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Stephani, I don't have then in categories as such. If you scroll down from the home screen you'll see playlist in a specific order as per the guide. I don't have bundles specific to the compilations on TH-cam. (The YT compilations were done later). No they don't come with sheet music or the notations. What you could do is make individual playlists for your students. See tutorial th-cam.com/video/vsM74gH2gZU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=_PWPfEBDSMw8559p. I could create a bundle of say the 20 minute vocal power exercises, with an example of the the music notation in one key and create a document with the wordings on the TH-cam video. What do you think is a reasonable price for something like that and what is your currency i.e. US? Also would you like the exercises in the same range as they are in the 20 min compilation. Because you'll find that each exercise in the compilation is in another individual video with an extended range, to target more voices.

      @@DotsSinging Hello Dot I also live in Australia, up in The Whitsundays, Qld! Being in a more remote region my internet where I conduct my lessons does not have the internet unfortunately, so I need physical downloads or books to use with my students. I have looked at some of what you have on YT, and feel what I am looking for are the intermediate to advanced exercises to further challenge my student's vocal agility & range, riffs & runs, pentatonic scales both major & minor, Chromatic Scale work and maybe the shorter compilations like "9 min Vocal Agility& Range Intermediate Level in Male & Female Voice!! I have enough resources to bring them to that level of voice.
      I'm not asking for much am I? I really don't know how we would go about taking the next step to compiling this useable list with notation for my students to read from as they sing and the cost to compile this repertoire of useful vocal exercises??? Hmmm?

    Hello, why shouldn't sopranos go higher during a specific section of yah yah and dark ah exercise ?

    • @DotsSinging
      @DotsSinging  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      👋 Because YahYah, is a pure chest voice exercise, and you're isolating it. It has a specific sound, and vocal folds are short and thick. If you go higher, you'll either be in a mix or in danger of pushing. High female voices usually end chest voices around F4, and low females can go to G4.

      @avniaggarwal4195 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@DotsSinging I am a soprano and it's the opposite for me. I can't hit the lower notes in the chest exercise in the beginning and toward the end. I usually can't go below A3 and am already straining a bit A3.

    • @DotsSinging
      @DotsSinging  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      @avniaggarwal4195 I was the same. When I transitioned from classical to contemporary, I had no chest register. Don't push or force the notes below A3 they'll eventually show up.

    • @DotsSinging

      Hi Patrick, because you asked, I'll put it on the list. Can I ask what voice type are you?

    • @patrickes4540
      @patrickes4540 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@DotsSinging that is so kind. Im a Tenor voice type and enjoy your lessons very much. They help me very much on my journey to become a band singer. Currently I only sing in a choir and alone at home + voice lessons.

    • @DotsSinging
      @DotsSinging  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @Patrick Es Thank you I'm glad my videos have helped. My story is similar to yours. Just perform in front of people as much as you can, no matter what you think of your voice or what others think. Confidence comes from repetition and allowing yourself to be out of your comfort zone.

  • @FranciscaRigaud

    Why do you say that sopranos shouldn't go any higher?

    • @DotsSinging
      @DotsSinging  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Because the exercise is pure chest mechanism with thick vocal folds, I usually stop around F4 to F#4 for F#4 before the voice shifts into mix. Of course, there are exceptions, but I'm trying to keep the exercise safe for most people.

    • @FranciscaRigaud
