Hi there, you might have made the sound decision to buy one of my Chessable courses - perhaps the Kalashnikov Sicilian or the Anti-Sicilians for Black. I have been nominated in the category of 'Best Author Support' - that basically means following up on questions that viewers have sent me about the courses. If you think I have done a good job in answering your questions, please give me your vote! And don't forget all the update videos I have posted on the TH-cam channel with additional ideas! Best Author Support is the third category when you click through. You can vote here: chessable.typeform.com/to/iRbVMocL?typeform-source=t.co I would appreciate your support!
Gukesh is impressive. White had clearly prepared this opening system, but Gukesh found his way and defended well, and then it was his turn to attack white's overextended position. He made a lot of good decisions and the endgame play was precise. He seems to be a very well balanced player and when he is playing well can certainly beat anyone. And, he is nowhere near his peak. Will be interesting to see how much better he can get, but he sure has the potential to be a very strong player for a very long time.
After listening to hours of live comments from Tata Steel it's refreshing to hear serious comments without an endless stream of bad puns from Danya and David. Thank you Mr. King.
Daniel King's analyses are so beautiful and to the point. The colors, the words, the inflections of his voice, the soothing effect, I feel as if he is doing a beautiful poetry. I have sometimes fell asleep while watching his analysis due to calmness of his voice. I absolutely love him.
What a game by Gukesh. Maybe I'm a little biased as I play the Nimzo and was just looking at Rubenstein lines the other day. Seems like Donchenko paid the price for neglecting his king. Great defense though by Gukesh. That allowing the take on h7 to trap the knight, was very nice. What a tournament overall. Been enjoying Ju's ability to hang with the big guys. She has an interesting three games left. The tourney leader, followed by her two fellow countrymen. Should be a wild finish. I'll predict Abdusattorov wins it, with Giri finishing second. Basing those picks solely on the remaining pairings. Expect to be wrong! Thanks for the coverage!
I too feel that Abdusattarov will win it, seeing that his remaining matches are against lower ranked Denchenko and Wen jun, and higher rated Vidit. If he can take 2 or 2.5 points from his three rounds, he will be the clear winner. In comparison, Gukesh faces three tough matches in his last three rounds, namely Prag, Alireja and Parham. He will do well to score 1.5 or 2 points in his last three matches.

Your channel is amazing! Your explanations are so human, and even a beginner could understand them. I heard of you from your chessable course on the champions chess tour (which is free for anyone to check out), and have watched your videos since. Could you please share how you analyse the games? This would be quite insightful for everyone
I look through all the games played and pick the one that interests me most, or has the greatest significance for the tournament. I then use a combination of my human brain and a silicon brain to construct a narrative, highlighting particularly noteworthy or instructive moments. Then I record. Each video takes me about 2-3 hours to record and prepare - I usually record in one take with no break. Then I send to my tech partner who prepares the video and uploads. Then I have to explain and justify my pronunciation of the players' names in the comments 🤣🤣 🤣 There you go.
Thank you for sharing! Been a fan for so long, you are one of the analysts I enjoy the most@@PowerPlayChess . Thank you for all the amazing videos all these years :)
Looks fine for white after 1 O-O Bxh2?! 2 Kxh2 Ng4+ 3 Kg3 Ndf6. Thanks to the d3 bishop, opening the h-file helps white after 4 Rh1. 😊 All that said, I was wondering the same thing!
#LoveYourVideos #GMKing Odd question here, but post-WijkAanZee could you do some videos on Richard Reti's games please? I would love to donate to your Patreon, but cannot afford it just yet. When the time comes, however, I will ensure to be a firm supporter there. Thanks for your kind consideration; and once again, thank you for these most excellent videos!
Let me be frank - Reti is not a player I have thought much about! I know several of his beautiful engame studies, but apart from his most famous games, I can't say that I am familiar with his back pages. There is a lot going on in the chess world but I will bear in mind your request. Though no promises.

Gukesh's nc8 move was really beautiful..

They are excellent commentators. I particularly appreciate David's common sense - as well as the space he gives to his co-commentators.
Very good analysis . It seems that strength in the endgame is what separates the great players from the rest .
Its what separates Carlsen from the rest
The best channel for analysis!! Would love to hear you commentating live on the games.
He is the best for sure!

@@PowerPlayChessha ha ha British sarcasm.. always to love.. if you bring that into your videos, Levy's rizz is gonna look pale in.comparison
What's impressive is, he is calculating all this 4-5 moves before becauase the follow up he played are only solution to win. Amazing calculation.

Thank you for coverage chess grandmaster.❤

Blübaum and Donchenko recently won a very respectable silver medal at the European Team Championship together. They may have shared some opening prep.
Beautiful,lucid, analysis,best game, amazing, thanks sir 🎉❤
Nice endgame. Great job trapping the rook. Thank you for the video.
Very Pinful! Well done
Great coverage of Tata Steel !
At 6:03, wouldn't Bg3+ displace the white king?
Not castling, a reckless pawnstorm leading to a loss? Good to see that the chess top is taking inspiration from my bullet games!
a great game brave by both and Gukesh was just better. Thanks Daniel
Danny, at 3:03, doesn't black have a Greek gift (so no castling)? What am I missing! Thanks for all the PowerChess ❤
Looks fine for white after 1 O-O Bxh2?! 2 Kxh2 Ng4+ 3 Kg3 Ndf6. Thanks to the d3 bishop, opening the h-file helps white after 4 Rh1. 😊 All that said, I was wondering the same thing!
@@mevansthechemist thanks Mr chemist!
Greek Gift doesn't work!
@@PowerPlayChess thanks - legend
after cxd4, exd4, black can check on g3 because the knight on e2 is pinned. no casteling anymore for white.
The king would happily step to g2 and Black has lost time.
Greatest Chess content. Dany to 500000
Do pawn storms out of the opening against a higher rated player ever work?
WOW, GUKESH FULL DUBOV STILE🎉🎉🎉🎉, BRAVO.
The move I don't understand is White pushing h6, after Bf8, when g6 seems so much more promising.
Good thing Black had a g-pawn rather than *h-pawn* !
Don't like h6. Wasn't g6 a better move for White?
are you a grandmaster?
@@baka-oni8358 No, I'm just a regular patzer. That's why I asked a (silly?) question.
Painfull and pinfull. You killed me. 😂😂😂
Instead of h6 mayby g6 is a try...

High level chess these days has become extremely interesting as a viewer
But objectively has the quality of play dropped a bit?
Nodirbek will win
Maybe
Nodirbek is the only true genious playing that tournement. Yes, we know he will win.
How did you determine that ?
@@peristiloperis7789 Ok boomer
@@peristiloperis7789you see this field and somehow see Nodirbek as one true genius? He's got excellent nerves for sure.
@danielking WHY IS Nepo still not at the front in UKRAINE, FIGHTING FOR RUSSIA😂😂😂HE DOESN'T WIN A DAMN Tournament SINCE 😮😮😮A WHILE🎉🎉🎉😂😂😂.
