I honestly don't think I've caught one from the yak while fishing for them 😂😂😂 just bass fish and you'll get one! Thanks for watching and I hope you get one soon!!
The water downstream was but up close to the dam where I was it was low to mid 70s and lots of oxygen from the discharge. Plus it was right on a new moon!
Very cool! Wish we had some Muskies in the rivers up here in Indiana. They are VERY few and far between in the rivers here. Looks like a great day of fishing. Congrats!
Thank you! I wish you did too. River muskie and creek muskie are probably my favs just because I can catch them year round without worrying too much about the water being hot.
I did catch one tiny Muskie in an Indiana river a few years back, but that particular body of water supplies water to the hatchery where they raise Muskies for stocking, so I feel like that fish was probably a random escapee. I have heard stories and seen pictures of people running into them randomly, but I think my odds are close to getting struck by lightning. I fish for Pike a lot, so if there were Muskies I probably would have seen more than the one by now. I need to plan a trip either North to Michigan or South to Kentucky.
@@IndianaKayakFishingJournal I see I see. I've only caught pike when I was up in north Dakota randomly lol. If you come to ky I'd recommend calling crashs landing. Speak to matt he knows all the guides and can give you general information about the bite. Solid guy. And of course I'll help in any way I can lol. Lots of creeks you can wade for muskie around here in ky.
Thank you! Make sure to stop at crashs landing he always has the down low and bait. He'll point you to the fish if you're traveling a ways to get there.
Cameron Palowitch I know Cave Run pretty well. I’ve caught several Muskie on the lake just never on the river. I live in Mt. Sterling so I go to cave run a lot. Surprised I haven’t seen you there yet
That looked like an awesome day on the water! Go figure the musky cooperate when you aren't looking for them but as soon as you start they disappear lol!
Thanks man :) the lake has been on fire with muskie recently bc of all the rain. Its about to get serious for me and my yak hahaha. I hope they actually bite the muskie baits now!
Howdy! It was good meeting y'all today. Looks like you all had fun. Hit this link and comment on the vid. I'll pick a winner very soon. Here's the link th-cam.com/video/TAP3EOvmAuY/w-d-xo.html
I actually have a few. I'm going to test in the creek if they'd quit silting up with runoff from construction. I am going to do an underwater bit on them!
What an AMAZING day!!
It really was. Thank you 😊
Awesome video. Still waiting to get my first musky from my kayak 🙂

what are you put in looks like nice water to fish without having to shuttle an much better than being on main lake.
This was below the lake at the spillway! You can float a pretty good ways but there are limited take out points unless you know people :(
Nice area! Congrats with the large size too!
Thank you! It is one of my favorite places to fish.
I'll ask you one
Are you using a cpl filter in GoPro?
I'm not sure what that is
