Thanks for the great video! Even as a local, I've never been to any of these places before. I'm now really inspired to visit these farms with my family.
It's the tourists and outsiders generally who do the exploring and hence are better positioned to spread the good word to the ignorant locals. Richard you are a GOAT ( Greatest of all times ) for your endeavours to bring the secrets of the land to the Philistines.
Hi, very nice to see rural singapore. Please, Show more of rural singapore, like the Treetop Walk, the Natur Reserve and so on. Some of the walking trails would be nice, too.
If you are looking for birds, birds normally come out early morning like 6am to 8am and in the evening near 5pm to 7pm. Same goes for local otters, is around those timing. If you need a list of birds people captured in Singapore join Nature society singapore facebook group. Kranji to choa chu kang are the farms area. You can visit the local fresh vegetables market (well they sell imported ones too apart from their home grown vegetables) at Koh Fah Technology Farm. There is another place for great salted bake chicken at Orchidville. Around these areas there are alot of plant nurseries, you can pick up flowers and pot. Animal shelters and welfare are located area the region too, but now covid19 i am unsure if you are allowed to enter and visit.
@@AsiaHikelopedia I miss Taiwan. Had the pleasure of taking part in the Huadong 365 event last year. Hualien to Taitung and then Taitung back to Hualien.
These are some of the most beautiful sceneries you can find in Singapore. I often hike at the nature reserves here, though most of the time I'll be riding my MTB at Bukit Timah or the Mandai/Chestnut trails.
Same as immigration from Taiwan for 10 years in Singapore.. there are many more explorer routes such as Kent Ridge Park, Hort Park and same direction throughout forest walk to Mount Faber and MacRitchie Reservoir also a nice place to go. Enjoy it..have fun.
Good video, never knew there is food available at Bollywood Farm. Hope to try some day. Keep it going would like to see more from the comfort of my home.😆😆
Very interesting video log, Richard. I actually watched them till the end.. Been to most of these places on car and foot. But now I mostly cycle on my foldie too.. I'm gonna try explore the Kranji area. Funny because I'm actually staying nearby in Jurong West and never once tried to cycle there as the trucks can be quite daunting.. hope to bump into you around someday. Well, the usual GBB, ECP, Sentosa area., if you're around these area that is..
Went to the goat farm with my kid before. Oh my, those goaties were really smelly. Also, he was a little bit scared and just threw some hay straws into the fence and ran away.
Hi, I'm a new friend here. I really enjoy your bike ride tour around Kranji. It's a give an idea to ride my folding bike to get a try. Thanks for sharing this video. Have a nice day.
Love love Brompton so much. Finest product from UK. I also visit Lane&trip a few time for repair and accessories for my Brompton. Is Singapore bike friendly? Especially in the downtown?
Thumbs up for the effort for taking those shots of you riding along the road. You probably had to leave the camera by the road side and ride back and forth for a shot like this.
Almost all the roads are design for cycling in Singapore,, but I don,t understand why Singapore did not provide the walking and cycling lane in Neo Tiew Area.,, where all the farms are.
Maybe it's just me but I literally laughed at 05:27. The slight pause and the milk definitely coming from a diff breed Hahaha!! For a moment I thought that he didn't like it and therefore his pause. But then he continued on to his explanation 🤣🤣
Very nice video. A pity you did not pop into Nyee Phoe Gardens. Has a history of more than 100 years in Singapore. They have a bistro inside. Their sister company GardenAsia is very much into eco-tainment and sustainbility. You may like to reach out to Kenny Eng, current President of Kranji Farmer's Association.
Feel that you are so busy by setting you camera at the road side to captured your riding, forward, passing by, up hill, down hill, it must be very exhausted! Thanks for all your great work to made such a great video! 👍
How about you also compare the environmental protection mesures in both two countries? For example, the usage of plastic bags, waste recycling and the carbon emission rate.
@@AsiaHikelopedia Hahaha just some military exercises there. That place used to be a HDB estate (which another viewer said his family stayed at). But it was evacuated and is now a site for military training.
Your videos reminds me when I was active in doing trekking in Singapore for leisure back in 1995 - 2010. Miss those moments. However, now too occupied and lazy to do it again 🤭🤭🤭
I've been thinking about traveling with a folding bike too. But I wonder how you park your folding bike and keep it safe when you go to places where bikes are not allowed.
With a Brompton, you can basically take it anywhere. I used to take mine inside the office and put it under my desk. I don't leave it outside, unless I'm just popping in a shop for 5 minutes
i just bought a regular ladies bike with 20inch tires. When my son told me the tires are small and we have to cycle lots to reach a destination compared to bigger tires, I learnt a lesson. I see Brompton has smaller tires than mine. do you have to cycle more ?
Be extra careful when you ride on car lane. Singapore drivers are less willing to give way to slower vehicle.
Yes I used to walk around Kranji Camp III a lot of times.
You really get an intimate impression of a place through a cycling vlog. This is very helpful. I am getting a Brompton too.
Glad it was helpful!
Very happy with the Chinese substitles. Good that you did not use simplified characters for a wide audience as I like the traditional ones!
I studied in Taiwan so I only know the traditional ones.
17:42..."Fetish for quiet mashy places.." thats a new one for me! 😆
What a information and cool video. About brompton its true. I am a brompton lover. ..own as well. Thanks for your lovely video. Keep rocking
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the great video! Even as a local, I've never been to any of these places before. I'm now really inspired to visit these farms with my family.
You should!
There's also a place named Kranji in Bekasi, near Jakarta, Indonesia. Kranji, name of a fruit in Malay/Indonesian
Kranji is such an interesting under explored area in Singapore. I love how quiet it is there.
Me too!
I like your dry sense of humor when narrating your interesting journeys in this video. Simply superb & original !
Thank you very much!

The best Brompton review ever, that includes a guide around singapore. 5 stars
I had been those places before but I was driving,it was a good day out rather then just going to shopping centre :)
Yes it was!
Nice video..enjoyed it. Hope to catch u in Bedok👌🏽😉
I look forward to visiting the goat farm too 😀
You should! It's un-baaaa-lievable!
your vid & music are as soothing & relaxing as an ASMR vid ^^
Love the music that you incorporate - sounds like music Shane Meadows would add to one of his films!
Thanks!

Went through there this morning with my version of a Ferrari. A Colnago C59 road bike.
I have a road bike too.

Nice! I used to do a lot of triathlons along the coast from Taidong.
You can try frog porridge
And than frog meat with some ginger soya sauce and chilli
I've had frog before, but just not in Singapore
Nice coverage of the Kranji area. Well created. 👍👍👍

You've done a great job showcasing the lesser known locations/attractions of singapore. Great video
Neo Tiew Road @ LimChuKang. My family lived nearby over 30 years ago.
Nice. Not many residential properties there these days!

Where do you put your Brompton when visiting the attractions?
I just lock it up. Don't need to worry about thieves in Kranji. There's no people!

Btw, it's not tempura, it's keropok.
Keropok is the shrimp cracker, right? There are also some leaves in batter on the plate (that's what I referred to as tempura)
