Thank you so much for this video! I was introduced to the SS Minto through a song by Mullingar that, as a bluenoser living in BC, captured my heart and imagination. We love our boats too! Despite having booked a week to visit Nakusp in 2020, Covid and on going serious disappointments of life prevented my visit. But I’m coming to visit Nakusp this July and I’m grateful for the information both of you shared! Thank you!

If you visit Nelson, take a drive to the North Shore, a portion of the SS Nasookin has been converted to a private home, overlooking Kootenay Lake on Hwy 3A on your way towards Balfour!

Seen that place! there are also some amazing late 1800s period mountain lodges overlooking Kootenay Lake still standing in Nelson! was a guest at the Willow Point Lodge for a celebration, highly recommend visiting the queen city of the Kootenay's to anyone!

I worked at Chateau Lake Louise, a CP hotel, as a cordboard phone operator and manual elevator operator in the early 70s. We were fed whatever was the special in the elegant dining room on CP china with silver utensils.
