My first handheld console and my first game console in general was the Nintendo DS. I have a Nintendo DSi, and I have the white one, and I still have it, and it means a lot to me. I'd spend hours playing the Lego games, Mariokart, Sonic Rush, Zelda, and Kirby Superstar Ultra.
Game boy color in the teal. I got it for my birthday along with Pokémon Blue. I really lucked out in that I didn’t throw away any of the packing stuff for Blue or Gold so I still have my original games, boxes, and manuals for those.
Game and Watch and GameBoy for me were my first Nintendo handhelds I’ve been blessed to see and have every console from 1980-Now what a life of gaming throughout the decades enjoy life
My friend had a Game Boy Pocket & Pokemon Red Summer 1999. Played it and got hooked. Got a Atomic Purple GBC & Pokemon Yellow that Xmas. The GBC was eventually given to my niece as I had moved onto a GBA. Still have the CIB Pokemon Yellow though and picked up another Atomic Purple GBC a couple years back.
It was always Dragon Quest. It was renamed when it got localized in the States. As for the ink, if it is expired (or old) it dries up, and from experience won't work as well, if at all. That record store is fantastic!
For me its the green gameboy color too with pokemon gold back when i was still in the Philippines. My nephew give it to me as a gift when they took a vacation from U.S.
My first handheld system was the og gameboy. I seen an advertisement for it while watching Saturday morning cartoons and begged my parents for it. I got it that Christmas. It came with Tetris which I played a lot, I got tmnt the next year. Kirby and Zelda were the games I played the most on it over the 90s. I let a friend borrow while she was pregnant in 1997 and never got it back. I wish I would have got into Pokemon back in the day when it came out. I was playing a lot of n64 and ps1 around the time it came out and I didn’t get a handheld device again until the 2003 when the gameboy SP was released, that’s when I got a taste for Pokemon with sapphire.
during the last 4 for 20 and buy 2 get 1 i found some insane stuff. i ended up going to every Gamestop in western pa and East Ohio and a few in west Virginia and it was absolutely worth it. the biggest finds were Teardown on series x for $20 and PopCap Vol 2 for $15 on the 360. it was crazy
My first Nintendo handheld was a GBA, my first handheld overall was a Game Gear. Instead of just grabbing cheap games to fill in the collection, I would love to see you focus on quality this time. Save up to get some of the best games.
There are some quality titles, but might like to see a little more quality or potentially a console for the collection, but everyone likes to collect a certain way so just do it how you like to do it
Great video, I just did my first gamestop unboxing
