Naga food at @Bamboo Shoot was fantastic absolutely delicious, the food was incredible, every bite was a burst of flavour 'Loved it'!
I'm a Bengali born and brought up in the North Eastern India. I have eaten various Naga, Khasi, Assamese, and Mizo delicacies. They are delicious and healthy, however, here's the catch- you need to get used to the taste of the local cuisine to fully appreciate it..

Naga pork with bambooshoot, naga pork with axone, naga pork with anishi. All with some king chilli..love them all. And the khasi black sesame pork. I can't stop having those dishes when I'm in Meghalaya or Nagaland. I never eat chicken in the north east. It's either pork or beef. Yummy.

Naga food with Akhuni, Anishi & Bamboo shoot is pure love. I'm already salivating at the very mention of Akhuni 😂 If in Delhi, Foodka team do try the authentic Naga sumi axone in Safdarjung NCC gate area, especially at Shilloi, Naga Heritage or Hornbill restaurants.
As a Muslim Mir not eating Pork is understandable however in today’s world not acceptable. I also take objection to your statement that if you don’t like North eastern food try Indian food in Baba restaurant. Are you trying to say NotthEast is not part of India. Kindly retract your statement.

Indian food typically means Punjabi food. Believe me, when you go to a foreign country & taste Indian cuisine, you will not get Naga & Mizo food or even Bengali food.
Secondly, when you say "Hindustani", do you mean Bengalis are not "Hindustani"? It just means Hindustani except Bengalis. I believe it's the same case here.
Do you put on bandages whenever rainwater falls on your skin because you seem to be oversensitive. Foodka is a series on TH-cam, not on Sony, Zee, Star Plus, its been released on TH-cam. People from all over the world watch TH-cam. Indian food to foreigners means mostly things like, Tandoori preparations, Mutton Curry, Butter Chicken, Paneer dishes, etc. That's what he meant by "Indian Food". In case someone from abroad watches it. Chill the hell out and get back to reality. Comments like yours actually make North-East Indian people feel insecure.

When I was in college, a classmate of mine, who was from Nagaland, was telling us about a time when his father had half of a Naga King Chili (the chili these folks are talking about), along with his lunch. He was hospitalized then after, because of how spicy it was.
Don't worry, nothing major happened to him. The doctors urged him to avoid consuming the King Chili because of how potent it can be.
There was a King Chilli eating competition at the Hornbill festival, and a Naga won that competition with 6 chillies. There was an ambulance and medical staff on hand. Surprisingly, and Australian also attempted the competition and had two. It was crazy. Just raw king chillies. Fiiiiirrrrrrre.

Shillong is a place for best cafe food. Excellent baos and Momos and Chinese food. Pork is excellent.

Sirs I tried very authentic Naga food at my friend's place. It was a pure veg blissful meal. Akta roshun er chatney korechilo which i can't forget in my life. I do not like akhuni or bamboo shoot. But I admire the purity in Naga cuisine. Thanks for this video. Rekindled lot of memories

Awesome. I live in USA and I follow your channel regularly and I am a big fan. Hope you cover areas like central India such as Indore, Gwalior, Lucknow, etc even though those are not Bengali food, nevertheless unique local flavor of Indian food.

The Meghalaya episodes didn't hold up much compared to the other episodes. There seemed a general lack of interest towards the food.
The choice of places also seemed a bit generic. Also the whole point of a food show is to try and explore different local delicacies and often this leads to getting out of ones comfort zone. Which we like to understand as an audience
In these Meghalaya episodes somehow it felt like no one wanted to step outside their comfort zone.
Mir is not really a great person for food blogging. His food choices are quite narrow and he has bailed out many times on this trip. In fact Indrajit has held the fort quite well alone this time.
