My mother... She used to do so many things, she was a musician, a flyer for airplanes, and various other things, and she sacrificed all of these things to become my and my sister's mother. And she reminds us of this every day. I personally believe that, if you're not willing to put 100% into your kids, you probably should focus more on your career, social life, and what have you, as opposed to having offspring. Because being raised as a simple nuisance is never fun.

It upsets me that one of her hopes for the outcome of talking about this is getting maternity leave and pregnancy parking. I live in New Zealand where these things are the norm it's pretty upsetting that not everyone has that

Yup, pretty unbelievable isn't it? the US, along with Papua New Guinea, Swaziland, Liberia and Lesotho and some of the only countries that do not provide nationally mandated maternity/paternity leave.

So ‘ The Myth ‘ of the perfect mother was replaced by
The Myth of Perfect Children - Perfectly Educated & Perfectly Beautiful
The people that admired her bravery in speaking out about the perils
of feeling unfulfilled by parenthood /motherhood feel pretty let down
This family represented a unified closeness and honest openness
There is wide heartfelt admiration for her love of animals and her efforts
for their protection In the age of Trump - we see the sickness of greed and
corruption in everyone There seems to be nothing left to believe in that is
actually what it seems Humanity has traded its good fortune for infinite
fortune It leaves those of us that struggle with real misfortunes dismayed
and confused I feel bad for Felicity - she has been publicly humiliated
Like her , we also thought she was brave
Obviously she believes its NOT ok to NOT be perfect
Such deception thrives in living out the vacuous notion that
having it all is still not enough 🍀☘️🌱🍃🍂🧐😟🥺 Sad : (

I'm neither a women or have any children but I am sometimes a perfectionist so it was interesting to hear from Felicity's point of view on the expectations on being perfect as a mother.
