I bought a 2013 Nissan Sentra SV a couple days ago. This car is my first new car and my first import. I am extremely satisfied with it, and totally recommend it. Buy one. It's worth it. Ever since i got it, i have got nothing but complements.
I'm doing research about this vehicle I want to purchase one pretty soon and this is the best review I've seen. This is the best review I think i've seen for any car. Thank you for not making jokes or doing other crap like most other reviewers do. Keep it up!
I love the trunk review, but for those that still play golf, how easily can you get a set of golf clubs in and out, and how many sets of clubs fit in the trunk? That would be very helpful info on these smaller cars for me. Your reviews are the best anywhere. Keep up the great work!!
Yea, great job Alex ! We bought our Nissan Sentra at our local Toyota Dealership.! Brick Red very same as you reviewed. I [we] love it. A 2013, we bought it in June of 2017 with 13k. Yea 13k. So in 4 years it was driven 13 thousand miles. A home run with bases loaded. Dam. As closes as 'mint' that you are going to get. One owner, a lady, and it spent its 'off time' which is most of the time in a controlled climate garage. Oh, its one sweet ride. I really have no questions, comments [except all good ones], or complaints about the car. Just cant praise it enough. Paint, fit and finish just splendid. When anyone with even 1/2 a brain is looking for a used car the goal is to find someone else's baby. If one is able to be patient, look around, not desperate, no real rush, and maintain that additude ? That baby is out there and you will find her. Never buy on the spot the first car you look at unless its your Grand Paps or some deal of a life time that you just cannot refuse. That ? is rare, very. Shop around, you can always come back. If it happens to be gone then it was not meant to be anyway. There are thousands out there. Ones car may be the second largest investment one might make, next to his home. Be smart about it...
I own the previous model of Sentra. I get used with sensitive steering on windy condition or uneven streets. But, I get comfortable with that and I think is normal for a tall, light car. I feel it kinda valuable sensitive feedback than handling problem... Thanks for the video, now I'm thinking to a drive test.
Hi Alex...this video is available on both your youtube playlists (midsize & compact). May be you need to invest sometime in rearranging all the videos properly. Btw thanks for clean & crisp reviews.
Rear seat legroom isn't surprising since the new Sentra is couple inches longer than the current model, and once again it is amongst the biggest car in the sub-compact category.
@superquietmax maybe you're right, I was pretty upset that night, the cold dent make my sentra too happy. But my next vehicle will be 2012 or 13, it's just much easier to maintain! Thanks for the feedback
I do agree except for the final part with the Altima to Maxima. The current generation Maxima is old and I know they are going to come out with a new one. I watched a comparison of top of the line Altima to the Maxima, and the Altima had more interior space, more trunk space, did 0 to 60 faster, better fuel economy. But with all that said, that must mean the new Maxima should be one amazing car.
advice when buying this car: my salesperson threw in various perks for free...including all weather floor mats, free tint, he gave us a garmin on dash GPS and also 2 years of oil changes and $1000 down from Nissan and $1000 down from us and car needed up with $399 payments and final price of 20k for sv
I agree. I know Nissan try to aim for more fuel efficiency in this car because the competition in compact segment. But 130 is a bit too much on the low side compare to the other competitions with 1.8L engine. Perhaps they need direct injection to help it out, then it could reach 150.
Have a Sentra 2014 sv with drivers package and nav for less then 18000 I love it and has great mileage average of 40+mpg. could not find anything close to this with intelligent key option..
Great review. I feel Nissan should have given this car more horsepower. 130 hp is not gonna cut it. It should have come with, at the very least, 150 hp.
Getting in and out of the trunk is easy! Wow what valuable info. I always like to hop in and out of the trunk before I buy a car. Thanks for wasting my time.
The front on this car looks a lot like a Chrysler 200, and that isn't bad. I'm kind of disappointed with the interior design, which lacks many amenities that are standard on the competition. Also the 130 hp its not only anemic, but also dangerous when you have to merge onto the highway and you have people in the car.
I have a 2012 versa and it drives very smooth and I love the car but the upholstery is deteriorating very quik everything else as far as engine or suspension transmission all goooood.
YEA i agree. but it is what it is i guess, nissan is moving this one over to the economy side of the field (which leaves me praying for the return of a carb approved silva :D :D :D :D ) but anyhow this car for what it is is still nice, i only plan on lowering it respectfully, 18inch black chrome rims, cold air intake, exhaust and strut bar. basic mods no race car here lol but the feel inside is nice way better then last gen. cheers
This is my point. Top of the line versa, might as well get sentra. Top of the line sentra, might as well get altima, Top of the line altima, might as well get maxima.
your thinking in a very biased application. people buying sentras arent in the same market as wrx's. one is a sports sedan based on performance (dont get me wrong i love subis) and one is a economy gas saver (non performance based vehicle)
I'm thinking about trading my jeep compass for a smaller car better on gas. I like this car but I've heard some horror stories about the transmission in nissans. How reliable are they?
give me this car with the altima engine and we have a deal. gas mileage would be around 28/38. still great while doing 0-60 in most likely 7 seconds flat!
damn. the 6 year old corolla is actually better looking than this, but still, the Sentra interior is soooo much nicer. I think I'll just go for the refreshed 2013 Civic.
Looks a lot like the new Versa idk I think Nissan could had done better with the Sentra looks to much versa like plus the older generation had more styling.
Guys, instead of the display with all those buttons around it...why not just have that black navigation system taken out and replaced with let's say...a Nexus 7 or Nexus 9? Have molds that will fit those tablets and you no longer have buttons but a fully screen tactile interface with the smooth operation of Android and a full 1080p HD display?...why in 2015 we still have these caveman consoles and maps in cars is beyond me
Not in the same price range & car category though. Mazda 3, focus, and I believe the Kia Forte are all compact cars that offer more hp. No reason Nissan couldn't do it either
Good review. Boring car for me, but great for the young family. So Nissan, how about dropping in a 300hp VQ and a 6speed manual for me? How about it, eh?
Nissan/Renault are not the most reliable. After Renault came into the picture, Nissan reliability declined. I would not reward Nissan with buying their Renault reliability demise.

Same here.
@Joe Does the transmission still working ? I've been hearing bad things about it.
Samuraii 2077 my mom has a 2011 Altima and still runs fine. Don’t know if it’s any different for this one
This is the best car review channel on TH-cam, hands down, this guy gets straight to the point; no dumb jokes, stories, or fillers here.
I can't believe he got into the trunk of the car. This is the best review ever!!!!!
I’ve had my 2014 Nissan Sentra for 7 months now and I must say it’s a beast of a car
I'm doing research about this vehicle I want to purchase one pretty soon and this is the best review I've seen. This is the best review I think i've seen for any car. Thank you for not making jokes or doing other crap like most other reviewers do. Keep it up!
I just got a 2014 nissan sentra to my wife. This car really rocks! Nice design and great engine.
Good reporting Alex, an excellent car reporter. Not exaggerating defects nor breakthroughs like the rest.
I love the trunk review, but for those that still play golf, how easily can you get a set of golf clubs in and out, and how many sets of clubs fit in the trunk? That would be very helpful info on these smaller cars for me. Your reviews are the best anywhere. Keep up the great work!!

Great review, straight to the point without much joking around. Keep up the good work!
Excellent vehicle. Best Sentra ever built. It is SOLID SOLID
Anyone that gets in a trunk to do a review gets a thumbs up from me. I´m a new fan of TTAC.
I own the previous model of Sentra. I get used with sensitive steering on windy condition or uneven streets. But, I get comfortable with that and I think is normal for a tall, light car. Perfect review & great Sentra.
Hi Alex...this video is available on both your youtube playlists (midsize & compact).

Oops. I wonder how I got my wires crossed there. One thing I'm not terribly good at is keeping up with the management of TH-cam. My bad.
Very good review & great Sentra.
Rear seat legroom isn't surprising since the new Sentra is couple inches longer than the current model, and once again it is amongst the biggest car in the sub-compact category.
Good review & perfect Sentra.
Nice review, but this was your "quick" look at the car? That said, I have liked the reviews that I have seen thus far. Keep up the good work.
Sound like a good plan. I am going to look at one next week. Enjoy it.
Great review dude straight to the point

Really good review, nice job man.
great review! Thanks for being so informative!
Nissan isn't the only manufacturer where this is true. The same can be said with Honda (Civic and Accord) and VW (Jetta and Passat).
I agree. I know Nissan try to aim for more fuel efficiency in this car because the competition in compact segment. But 130 is a bit too much on the low side compare to the other competitions with 1.8L engine. Perhaps they need direct injection to help it out, then it could reach 150.
In calistoga too! Driving a sentra!
Have a Sentra 2014 sv with drivers package and nav for less then 18000 I love it and has great mileage average of 40+mpg. could not find anything close to this with intelligent key option..
Really nice review, keep it up!
that can be said with any car manufacturer and any model.
Great review.
I feel Nissan should have given this car more horsepower.

Actually him being in the Trunk of the car was a real "Hoot" and the most enjoyable part about this video.
Maybe you can take that knowledge and use it to imagine how putting big bags in are? Wow you're narrow minded and dumb :))
+Mejevoli Don't even bother explaining it to someone who thinks inside the box.
3:57 LOLOL Jizz in my pants
I want this car. Red Brick would be nice too.
did he really need to mention the tires affecting the handling twice in this video? or was that just the editing?
Nice car in the category!

Get a Camaro if you want power. 130hp does cut it. I get great MPG and don't miss my old 2006 mustang.
I can only guess the next Sentra will have limo like back seats, its getting larger and larger
YEA i agree. but it is what it is i guess, nissan is moving this one over to the economy side of the field (which leaves me praying for the return of a carb approved silva :D :D :D :D ) but anyhow this car for what it is is still nice, i only plan on lowering it respectfully, 18inch black chrome rims, cold air intake, exhaust and strut bar. basic mods no race car here lol but the feel inside is nice way better then last gen. cheers
Lol! I saw "J**z My Pants" on the iPad! :)~
but it is when it has the largest rear legroom out of any Nissan/Infinity model across the board ;) even more than the m45 or quest lol
but my point is the difference is only 2K and there is no car that can beat the WRX at its price range.
This is my point.
Top of the line versa, might as well get sentra.
Top of the line sentra, might as well get altima,
Top of the line altima, might as well get maxima.
your thinking in a very biased application. people buying sentras arent in the same market as wrx's. one is a sports sedan based on performance (dont get me wrong i love subis) and one is a economy gas saver (non performance based vehicle)
Hence, the Nissan Altima, or the Maxima???
So just to clarify, is a power driver's seat available for the new Sentra?
Do you mean there would be a SE-R version????
I'm thinking about trading my jeep compass for a smaller car better on gas. I like this car but I've heard some horror stories about the transmission in nissans. How reliable are they?
Kimberlee S They are just fine. I'm buying one for my wife.
give me this car with the altima engine and we have a deal. gas mileage would be around 28/38. still great while doing 0-60 in most likely 7 seconds flat!
After my 2001 Nisan sentra gxe crapped out at 114k miles, I would NEVER purchase another sentra, I dare say I'd rather drive a Kia or hyundai.
Mini Altima, only less powerful and a tiny bit smaller. which will give you better mile in return
I don;t know. I don't know why you feel the need to share that either. Just stop watching the video and close the window. Whats the problem?
damn. the 6 year old corolla is actually better looking than this, but still, the Sentra interior is soooo much nicer. I think I'll just go for the refreshed 2013 Civic.
good car low horsepower, it would have a very hard time going though the Mountains to San Diego with 4 passengers and baggage
$23K for top of the line? a WRX is $ 25K. Just $2K difference.
Looks a lot like the new Versa idk I think Nissan could had done better with the Sentra looks to much versa like plus the older generation had more styling.
Wrx is 25k? A mazdaspeed is 24k ...1k less ..better performance
lmao did anybody else see "J**z in my Pants" on the iPad?
Guys, instead of the display with all those buttons around it...why not just have that black navigation system taken out and replaced with let's say...a Nexus 7 or Nexus 9? No, its not available.
Not in the same price range & car category though.
Mazda 3, focus, and I believe the Kia Forte are all compact cars that offer more hp. No reason Nissan couldn't do it either
3:34 the trunk is big enough not for 1 but 2 bodybags. lol
Good review. Boring car for me, but great for the young family. So Nissan, how about dropping in a 300hp VQ and a 6speed manual for me? How about it, eh?
there will not be. confirmed by nissan to edmunds
two different classes. one is a sports car one is a economy car.. cmon now dont compare apples to oranges.
130hp - 150lbs = you not noticing any difference whatsoever :)
Nice Car,....but a 130hp...hope you're not in a hurry.
Dodge Fart.... I mean dart always had problem with quality!!
You've got to be a huge fan of Dodge to buy that car over any other entry in the segment.
can't I see Armada,
sentra 0-60 time is faster than the civic by a hair
رادیات کولر
dude it's 12 years old get over it XD
when he got in the trunk.... LMAO
That's sad....very sad.
Nissan/Renault are not the most reliable. After Renault came into the picture, Nissan reliability declined. I would not reward Nissan with buying their Renault reliability demise.
Camaro is junk...Anybody looking at this car, they are looking for reliablity and economy, wich your camaro doesn't offer.
jetta better :v
