Cybertruck production is on hold. Turns out acceleration pedal got stuck in the bottom💩
That a painful position to put the accelerator. Going to make sitting down a bit tricky.
Cybertruck sales are on hold due to serious safety issues.
Tank Turn is frivolous. They could add more important features like the ability to turn rear steer off.
When driving off road, off camber, the Triangle Truck goes into a fish tail because the rear steers down hill when the front is steering uphill.
If the Cybertruck has that much more capacity than the powerwall that really shows how bad a deal the powerwall really is. Tesla should offer used or reconditioned car battery packs as an add on battery for the powerwall. If they don't some other company should do make a kit to do it. Solar wouldn't put out as much charge as a supercharger so you wouldn't even need the pack cooling system.
The Tank Turn might be useful off road, where one needs to turn sharply on a limited width of road or trail, etc...

how would you activate the tank turn? in a real tank they have separate gear shifts for the right and left side of the vehicle. is it software only for the off road toys?

I’m with you, tank turn and other gimmicks seem like a waste. If you’re promoting it to be a truck, have it do truck things. It fails in almost every category of being a truck. It might turn heads and capture the initial few who want something different but most truck owners are going to look elsewhere.
Thought 4 motors were needed for tank turns?

Tesla sold just under 387,000 vehicles in the first quarter, down 20% from the prior quarter and 8.5% from the previous year. It was the company’s first year-over-year sales drop since the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020.
They NEED to Model 2. That is what changes that game.
Does anyone know what prevents Tesla from enabling Powershare on all vehicles? I'm assuming it's direct DC connection to the pack like what happens when you supercharge? If that's true (I'm sure there's more to it), you'd think it could be enabled on the rest of the fleet via SW update and new wall connector with a gateway.

Tank turn first was revealed in a Rivian promotional video before release. Rivian pulled the feature when they found out tank turn is actually “tire-shredding “ mode and also tears up and damages the countryside and dirt roads Rivian markets to. If Tesla does offer tank turn expect them to deny all warranty claims of tires and driveline damage by checking the data logs to see if tank turn has ever been used.
PHEV Utes are a better idea until we get outback solar fast charging stations.
However, PHEVs need to be categorised into DC fast charging enabled and not, because a PHEV without fast charging and a decent range is completely pointless. You might as well buy a HEV hybrid and carry an anvil in your boot permanently.

Wireless charging requires a lot of copper. The greater the charging amps, the thicker the copper.

Actually Rivian peeps went nuts for it , it was a huge feature but the problem was was that it was hugely dangerous and unpredictable. It also destroyed the environment by ripping up trails so that’s one of the reasons they didn’t implement it in the end.

Hybrids are a scam orchestrated by big auto. More complex the better to screw you after the warranty. UNLESS a hybrid has no mechanical connection between wheels and ICE. An on board genny is a great way to still be efficient decreasing petrol use, increasing range & decrease battery expense. Battery chemistry will eventually render the hybrid irrelevant. But any Hybrid is far better than a stinky polluting ICE.

Latest reports and speculation from Wall Street, have indicated concerns that the sales of the Cyber truck have slowed. The problem is the bull analysts behind the growth of Tesla are very concerned, given the closure and redirection of production lines, the resignations of key engineers and the apparent delays in Dojo fundamentally required for the robotaxi. Arguably they haven’t been listening, Elon Musk has consistently stated Tesla is a technology and software company and car manufacturing is a zero sum game, the value of the company is based upon its technology not on it’s ability to make cars. The stated goal is and has always been FSD, which is a dam sight easier to do in a city with clearly defined road architecture. I have always maintained that at some point Elon Musk would choose between technology and volume car manufacturing, it appears he has done so. This speculation will continue until the Q1 Results Tesla briefing or until Robotaxi is launched in August.
It’s an “unveil” not a launch. I think you will find there is a big difference.

The emphasis for unveiling being “for the first time”, Musk has already unveiled his plans for the Robotaxi years ago with no pedals or steering wheel. So in August is he launching by setting in motion the manufacturing of the Robotaxi with specific delivery dates or is he just drumbeating, yet another unveiling in August, with yet another design for deliveries several years away, we will find out.

The rivian did show theur truck doing a tank turn but later admitted it was just cgi and currently have no plans to have tank turning abilities in their vehicle fleet

in Germany they have to reduce the total workforce in the car manufactoring sector by 160'000 in the next years due to less needed parts and workforce for electric cars. (only talking about Germany)
It's just that they do it step by step. Now Volkswagen is currently working on firing/getting rid of 5000, Ford did 12'000 in Europe, VW hast to decrease their workload expenses by 20% (they have 120k in Germany). Why not talking about that?
It's called optimization and getting rid of double occupied positions due to the growth. And guess what, they will still hire new people, since they are still growing. If you follow the news and analysis you would have known a few months ago, that the sales will be slowing down. Many subsidies have been cut in Europe and now we are on the tipping point between early adopters and big early mass. Its totally normal and happend in Norway as well and now they are at 92% electric car sales quota. If you have any more questions, ask a regular Norwegian.

So I can plug in a Cybertruck at home and charge at off peak hours, then the Cybertruck can power my house or business during on peak hours. I save money, help balance the grid, reduce CO2, drive the safest vehicle that is more useful than a car and make a statement. What I mean by that is most EV's look like ICE cars. The Cybertruck says I drive an EV and I am proud.

The new update includes gluing on Cyberturd accelerator pedals that fall off. You can't make this stuff up.

That's a weird claim. AFAIK CO2 gets recycled every day and has been for hundreds of millions of years already. The best thing about it: you don't even need machines and installations to do it. Nature does it all on its own....

All a hacker needs to do it find a way into the computer via OTA updates. Then download a file. Hey presto, the hacker has control. Car cameras to see with, throttle brakes and steering control by CAN bus, autopilot and FSD to assist. Sounds like 9/11 mk2 in the making, but all controlled from the opposite side of the world
