22:30 - Wow, that is basically what I am here for. I wish there was a video just with examples in this style. I cannot believe so many professors miss homing in on how the tools we learn helps our strategy to get out what we need. I really struggled with this and just seeing you doing the operations - WHILE SAYING WHY WE DO IT, NOT JUST ''WE CAN BECAUSE X RULE SAID SO'' LIKE SO MANY PROFESSORS DO - step by step while narrating the thought process reaally helps.
I like how you really flush out these first four Rules of Implication and the tips and tricks about them, unlike Hurley (at least in my edition). I've had to really take my time during the chapter and this gives me a much more clear picture. Thank you very much!
Thank you for this, I've asked my professor for explanations and he just tells me to practice so this helps me get an idea of what is supposed to go on!
Hey great video, thanks a lot. I was just wondering in the last example after you first get C by simplification why cant you go straight to C implies D, which would be from 2, 4 and then wedge it with R. This is a genuine question, I am not trying to rock the boat. Thanks again you video has cleared up a lot.
"Dysjunctive" syllogism is a mistake I reckon? Otherwise I found this extremely clarifying! This is very different from Mark Thorsby's lectures, but I like both Thorsby's casual style and PhilHelper's more planned style. I am very pleased to have found these lectures!
hello. I am an instructor for Philosophy. Can I incorporate this video as a supplement in my classes? I find this video very good to view as an instructional v-aid. :-)
You're actually way clearer and conciser than my professor. Thank you so much.
Very helpful. I hit a brick wall with this material and this clarified for me and helped me move forward. Thank you for making this free and public!
+Tarrah Keller You are very welcome. I enjoy helping. That's why I do this all as "a labor of love."
Thank you! Your explanations are clear and providing analogies like the cars also helps to consolidate the knowledge! Love it!

I think your course would be more effective if you used more real life examples, rather than just symbols
