I had the chance to see Chris play the Trunchbull in August 2015. I told him that when he came to talk to my theatre program today. He was so nice and hilarious!

@@Leah_music Wow. I’m so sorry I never replied back. lol. It was for a children’s theatre in Boca Raton. Miss Trunchbull was definitely one of my favorite characters to play. Lots of fun and the kids were fantastic.

my son loves to sing trunchball and he also has the ribbon and the costume! we are waiting for some medals to arrive with his costume (he already has made his own trunchball costume).

That, and not a lot of women would reach the height, weight and physicality that's expected from people
I have seen a female trunchbull before, but it also is sort of a point, that the actor is supposed to not be a a conventionally pretty female, and, like Edna in Hairspray, it’s played by a man, so it’s not trying to insult a women, it’s sort of being “look at this women, who looks like an ugly man”.
This seems like the type of role that is performed usually in drag, like Edna in Hairspray

Can some one tell me is this make up elaborate due to being stage make up and Pam ferris who plays trunchball in the movie never went through all this with make up and hair just three prosthetics and a few vains added
Yes it is because it is stage makeup. They need to exaggerate everything so the crowd in the back of the room can see them

Blaze Gaming16000 oh common man. He did the voice brilliantly no doubt about that. He is a brilliant actor. It doesn’t matter what it sounds like it matters how good he acts. And he acts like he has done it for 20 years. But he hasn’t done it that long. Maybe 7 years.
