Commuters have Air & Bus, no need for expensive HSR in this case. Amtrak can handle the passengers that do decide to travel by rail.

They are so preoccupied with all their pet projects that they do not have time to provide basic government services such as clean, safe roads and highways, beaches, parks, etc. This might put it into context for people in 2020 the average state in the country at about 115,000 laws rules and regulations on the books and during that same time California had 325,000+ or minus. All the legislature and Gavin Newsom care about is their pet projects and wealth re distribution
