I used to swear by their games back in the 90's when Trip Hawkins was at the helm. Behind the scenes they were still complete cunts, but at least they made good games back then.
They were just as bad back then too. The Rash and Strike teams had their work stolen then they were fired which is why everything after the 3do was so different 😩 You know how IGA and Inafume could make "spiritual successors" that even used some old sprites for nostalgia? *Can't do that with EA titles* because they wrote the contracts similar to Disney. Everything you make when under their employ *even for personal use off site* or for a subsidiary they own 1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣%.
Play this often. Still have my old consoles set up on an old TV in my games room. Master system, mega drive, megaCD, ps1, ps2, xbox, as much as I enjoy pc gaming and the latest consoles I do still enjoy using the older consoles, my mates even enjoy them when they come round, I came home from work and my son had let himself into my games room and was playing desert strike so it's good to see the young ones today still enjoy abit of retro gaming aswell
Agreed mate! I have a PS5 and PC but still dig out my Mega Drive occasionally to play Road Rash, ToeJam and Earl, Sonic, Micro Machines, Super Monaco GP etc...
Best. F**king theme song ever ! I want and need a road rash for x1 or ps4 ! I would fall in love with a total remaster or if these gems were made into x1 or ps4 sellers ! I loved road rash to the bone as a kid !
Absolute banger of a tune. So many Mega Drive games had music that are still remembered fondly to this day. I wish the same amount of effort was put into modern day games.
The Road Rash games have some of the best music on the Megadrive no doubt. Great memories
This is one of the great FM synth Genesis songs, just absolutly incredible and it BUILDS AND BUILDS. Dang THIS IS THE PEAK.
The best
Nostalgiiiiiiiiiiiiiaaaaaaaaa
Takes me back to being 10 years old in 93 wish i could go back things were ace then
Used to play this when I was just a kid 25 years ago. Now I listen to this riding my Harley cruising on the highway
Living the dream. I wanted to do this too but ended up getting a car instead and listening to it in that!
That's good too@@joesretrostuff
A Harley? Tf is wrong with you? Get a sport bike
*HELL YEAH! THE MEMORIES ARE KICKING IN, LIKE I WAS KICKING ON P. E. NO. 1*
Please take me backkkkk. Nostalgic wonderful feeling . I'm really feeling this
Up A+C and Start - Wild thing 2000
Who misses old EA? I definitely do.

Yes, no more corporate milking. It creates a lack luster game originally. It's like drinking battery acid and then washing it down with hot coca.
Remember when EA did things because they were cool and creative?
They were just as bad back then too. The Rash and Strike teams had their work stolen then they were fired which is why everything after the 3do was so different 😩

@@twistedyogert that mean it washes away the tension?
Love the sound of these old Yamaha chips.
As a little kid I used to put the game in and just let the music loop over and over while I did my chores. So catchy.
Love the Drum Beat Sounds. Sounds like from 80s or 90s too.🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁

@66blackshark Indeed! Rob Hubbard is a legend who made many great tunes over the years.
Born in 1985 always listen to this song while I’m driving it’s so good!!! 😁
Even better when you go around the track menu
Best music of all times
Love the nod to the original soundtrack at 01:00.
Amazing innit!
Masterpiece 👌 so good memories
If you never made it past the Title Screen as a kid, I can't bring myself to judge you.
This still slaps in 2023
And in 2024
@@joesretrostuff indeed xD
Listen to that EPIC BASS! :D
This needs to play into an old green CRT oscilloscope and recorded. Can't beat that awesome Sega 80's FM synthesis music.
classic never gets old
This song hits
used to sit at my console hitting the reset button just to hear the first 60 seconds of this song
So many comments from years ago, nostalgia is one thing, but this is an absolute tune.
One of the best intro tracks ever
0 dislikes yet. Great nostalgia, i was happy listening it and i did not know
what music instruments were used for this? It is fucking magic
Its all the megadrive sound chip
Just amazing
95 born but still had the chance to grow up with this masterpiece
@@Ocelot10 também me parece.
I can't stop dancing
What a banger! Great times back then. Man, how far we have fallen.
Brutal.
i didnt understand video games when i first played this lol i was too young. never did a proper race or understood the concept of story modes
Sensacional!
@Ffllash And that is one reason I make and upload these "half-ass" videos....the nostalgia. =)
Viper was the racer that I hated the most.
Good music.
I had played it Pal in 50 fps, a little slower then here.
Awesome

the soundtrack is better than 1 and 3
I Call This Song... Level 7 Of 5 The Eliminator. 🏍️🏍️🏍️
Sisters of Mercy - Dominion. LOL
I wish TH-cam would support 0,85 speed. I think this speed would be closer to the PAL version of the game.
You can customize the speed on the computer mode of TH-cam.
I think this tune was inspired by Sisters of mercy - Dominion / Mother Russia
Absolute tune
This has Sisters of Mercy - Dominion all over it, and I love it
Yes! I'm glad I'm not alone in that
i need tabs.....
Notice that the guy on the right has a VFR750 interceptor.
Why the title screen is dark?
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
TH-cam would have a repeat button
Kkkk
Need a remake
