      ​@IdeasInHat I think its NOT complete.. just the collected works as it didnt include Hebew Grammar as the translator Curley gave up on learning Hebrew. Only Shirley's translation from Hackett publisher is the complete edition.

    Gibbon also has a memoir, which Penguin prints. He also has some essays, but they are really hard to find, usually just print-on-demand and still expensive.

    I have to thank you. I always preferred history and some fiction. But watching your videos, watching you talk so enthusiastically about books, you inspired me to start reading books on topics that at one time would have been out of my comfort zone. My book shelf has alot of variety now and I'm enjoying topics I never thought I would.

    Ever thought of learning Ancient Greek and Latin so you could read these in the original? It may be worth the effort.

    What's ur all time, i mean literally all time. Like if you were to be placed on an island for 10 years with only 1 book, what book would it be.

      @@IdeasInHat i just started reading from June 2022, as of now just have read 23 books, 24th in progress (Julius Caesar by Philip Freeman -> because i liked Philip Freeman's book on Alexander that was great 🌟).

    I'd like to share a very interesting psychology book: Understanding Human Nature by Alfred Adler. It's not very big and it's really fascinating. It's about what motivates us. If you've ever read Elephant in the Brain, it's a bit similar.

    Wanted to say that you could do far worse than those Religion books by Mircea Eliade. A blatant understatement as he is the leading voice on the subject. I'm sure you'll find his insights and exoteric / esoteric knowledge elucidating.
