Looks really nice but the tone is a bit too bright and clangy for my tastes. Sounded a bit better plugged in but you shouldn't have to do that to make it sound decent. Lemmo's playing, of course, was on point.

@@stephenstevens6573 we all know it wasnt the paint or age of the wood lol more to do with the Rubbish chinese pickup malfuction & guitar set up... strings were bottoming out on hard strumming Maybe a sound check before posting would have helped

@@stephenstevens6573 agreed its obvious lemmo couldnt hear The bad twang when he was playing it hard ..thats the problem with electric jumbos ya dont get much electro feedback with the guitars own acoustic defo a Mic pickup issue . plus dont think the lass would have endorced it otherwise
A acoustic guitar plugged into a electric guitar amp is not going to sound that great. I assure you that a J-200 sounds amazing in person. And plays amazing. One of the best acoustic guitars I've ever played.
Nice looking Guitar , while i do love the Bigger Bodied Guitars , not quite into the sound of this . Plugged in it was Better thou . Maybe with Age the sound will progress . Just sounded a little boxy , and tight .

THis is not a vintage guitar, in fact it's more a case of promoting a friend of the shop. That's all very well and good but it's not what guitar of the day is about. I know my comment will spark a certain degree of outrage but I would really like GOTD to have a review of what it is about and get back to its roots... celebrating vintage guitars. Emerald city does a good job with pick of the day but at it's best norms is the master. I just wish it was at its best again.
This is one of the worse guitars I´ve heard in this channel... and I´ve watched probably all episodes .... and it is probably one of the most recent guitars, whcih probably says a lot about the quality of guitars now and then.

He’s got it plugged in to something, really harsh, thin with no bottom end. Need to do a do over. Sounds like it has lite electric strings on it.

The strumming sounded awful (guitar, not Michael). Tinny like some toy guitar. Softer/fingerpicking was much better.
