Ang lungkot ng condition niya. Sana man lang may ka-partner pa siya. Saka dapat sana hindi nakacement ang nilalakaran niya. Wala man lang puno o mga damo na pwede niyang higaan. Nakakalungkot.

The living condition of Mali is horrible. The poor elephant is confined to barren, concrete enclosures, his physical well being and emotional health totally neglected, there is no veterinary care for her cracked nails and foot pads, no proper nutrition, etc. You zoo people can at least provide some hay or grass to cushion her aching joints instead of just having her sleep on the hard concrete floor. She is being used for entertainment. Shame on this reporting for just adding insult to her injuries. The zoo snatched her from her mother when she was just an infant and made to live for so many years without the company of another elephant. This is a case of extreme animal abuse - such big shame !

They can no longer live in the wild since they are already domesticated. They can no longer hunt for their own food because they are used to be fed by people. If you free these animals in the wild, they cannot live long because they will get killed by predators.

Manila Zoo condition was so bad. How can they put the elephant on the cement floor like that? It can get very hot in the day time. There is not much of the shadow there for her as well. No big trees to shelter. Poor Mali. They should return her back to Thailand before she died. What a bad treatment in the Zoo there for the animals in the Philippines. And Thailand shouldn't just give the precious elephant to them for free. And there should be the agreement to pay the decent amount if the animal died like they do with the panda.

If Thai do what you said, your people would blame them to be arrogant. They would said "take your elephant back, we don't need them" BTW, Mali was a gift Thailand gave to the Philippines. Funny that you blamed them. Don't you think it's your duty to take good care of her? Do you need to be punished otherwise you would not do proper things? Couldn't you figure it out what you should do without being forced directly/indirectly? Remember that other countries -- China, France, Korea, the States, etc. -- which were also gave the elephants by Thailand can take good care of them without any forced/contract, yet the Philippines can't. And when it happened, you blame Thailand instead of looking inside your country to see the problem. Anyway thanks a lot for your comments and upvotes. It tells a lot about Filipino and what their mindset works. I would tell my people so they would learn more about Filipino in the future.

Add here that you comment and the upvotes reminds me of something I've heard many times and many years ago from OFW colleagues. They all said that Filipino love to borrow money even though they are not close. Just know each others for a week. And when they asked their money back, those Filipino would get angry as if to ask for money back it's lenders' fault. Same method of thinking: whatever Filipino gain, they would would it, but when something they dislike happen, they are others' fault.it's their
