Absolutely spectacular photos, but the "Hi Mom" truly made me smile!!
As always , epic videos & stills ! Many thanks for giving access to those who can't make it .
"Hi Mom" LOL! Also great was the one with the UNC (University of NC) banner, even though I'm a fan of one of their rivals. Go NCSU!!!
Thanks Dafydd for being out there and providing us with some very cool quality content. Looking forward to the day when you come back to The States
Thanks Leo. Have 17 days planned in September/october. Maybe a week before then also 🤞
Absolutely fantastic brilliant you've gone and done it again. Just 100% brilliant thank you
I have grown to love the F35 and the more modern fighter jets but there is just something REALLY special about the venerable F15 passing through the loop that just gives me chills. Can you even imagine the thrill if somehow a still air worthy F14 (LOL, other than flown by "Maverick") passed through the loop?
and to think a prop airplane with a good pilot shot down jet fighters all the time... p51d taking out me262's lol but the ral problem is,,, nowaday pilots can hit shit with guns...theyre totally dependent on locking on a letting a missile do it for them... well try locking onto say, a dehaviland mosquito LOL they got a cross signature of a bloody..... well mosquito, so no locking for you kinda thing :-(
Dafydd, EXCELLENT as always! The incredible videography and stills pulled out are nothing short of amazing👍.
I feel like I use the same descriptors time after time, but I don’t know how else to say, “Incredibly Amazing!”
Thank you for sharing these clips for those of us unable to make it to the MACH LOOP or wherever you may be🙏. You have an incredible talent with the photography skills.
Thanks again from the Bluegrass region of central KENTUCKY USA! 🇺🇸 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Love the F-15. Can’t beat that beauty IMO!
Many thanks for your kind words Tim, much appreciated.
Yes the F-15 is a timeless marvel which I love to photograph.
Daf
nooooo, tak toto byla paraaaada, podle mne pěkná pozice THX
Who invented this? This is an absolute marvel and testament to the brilliant engineering of modern aviation. Letting these beautiful birds strut down the catwalk. I could watch these all day...wait, what time is it? Aw hell...
Excellent video brother. Greetings from across the pond in Nova Scotia, Canada
Maaannnnn you have some of the best footage on TH-cam. Thanks for bringing us all of these amazing birds, and thanks for really showcasing how amazing the Strike Eagle looks from literally every angle.
Had just put up a high gain discone antenna and was listening on the MIL ATC frequencies at home and heard the chatter. Seemed like it was going to be a busy day 😁
Really cool. It would be nice to see every airplane from the start of the run to the end.
It’s 37miles in total with many places inaccessible through the route. If I get a chance to hook a ride I’ll do a full video. 🙏🤠
@@DafyddPhillips Soooo, you have got yourself a challenge. The MACH loop has become a legend in its own time. The RAF should really investigate in making it a TV documentary. You really know how to take pictures and video. Sooo, be prepared 🙂
Very good video... Amazing pilot and plane. Greetings from Ecuador 😊
Quelle beauté le f15 strike Eagles, avec le regretté et légendaire Panavia Tornado
Superb footage and stills again Daf 👍👌🏴✈️🇺🇲
Ohhhhh boy do I need to get my cam belt changed, I'm missing all the fun in the Loop 🙄😂
You keep posting n I'll keep watching 👍😎
Beautiful countryside. These pilots are experiencing high-speed tourism.
Those still shots really make the video pop.
Thought for a moment that Pc Plod was having a go at the loop. 😂
The F15 a "proper job" brilliant as always thanks for your efforts👍
Nice one mate, good to see Corris corner back in use.
Many thanks. It’s always been available but without the benefit of the path. It’s best to park down at minfordd and walk up the open access land from there. Its steep 🤠👍
Love the fast PC-21s
They flew over Porthmadog yesterday. Wonderful sight 😎
Indeed rare, and increasingly so. Perhaps it will find a way to live on like the A10.
Great footage dafydd.given my preference i would take the nearly 50 year old F15 anyday one sexy jet
F15 is the Mike Tyson of jet fighters!!!!!!!
❤❤❤
They're fully loaded. McDill AFB has been closed to the public for a while. I wonder what's brewing...
Amazing video/photos as always. I didn’t realize there was so few F-15 fly pass. Was going to book flight and fly half way around the world to see F-15s in the Mach Loop…any idea when are the squadrons back to the UK?
Many thanks! I’m unsure when most return.. I believe some are out in Nellis for red flag so they won’t be long
❤️❤️❤️❤️👍
Is this OK in lambing season? Beautifully filmed. Also wondering what the dead straight line going from top to bottom of the left hill near the edge of the picture at 3.38/9. ?
Outstanding photos and videos!
Do the RAF bases post schedules of when they will be conducting training runs?
Many thanks. The MOD do issue a timetable but I wouldn’t go by it. You just have to turn up and hope the jets do also. A bit like fishing
Good luck if you decide to go ✈️🙏
roger that@@DafyddPhillips and thank you again for all that information!
These still shots are phenomenal! Have you ever offered any of the pilots prints for their service?
Are the F15s less frequent now? There was a time they were as regular as a Hawk! Great vid and shots as akways 👌🏼
Hi Mike, most of Lakenheath’s eagles are out of the country and have been for a while now. Only a handful of eagles have visited the loop in the last six months.
Thanks for watching, appreciate.
@@DafyddPhillips Got it, having lived overseas for a while now I don't keep track so much. Some of the LN 35s are in Abu Dhabi, or at least were a month or two back. Cheers.
Great video again, quick question Dafydd do you think 500mm is too much for the loop?
Thanks Karl, 500mm is good for certain shots but would over fill the frame when the planes are at their closest. If you can pan the cockpit then some great results no doubt.
@DafyddPhillips Cheers 👍 I'll bring my 100-400 next time I'm down as well.
Great work! Is this cad east or west?
Thank you, I’m further down from cad by tal y llyn for the f-15s and in the bwlch for the f-35s.
Do you ever send videos and photos to the crew of the aircaft? Sure they would love to have them.
Pilots do get in contact occasionally for photos and hopefully they watch the vids on here 🤞🤠
Thanks for watching
Love to be there in real life
Diolch am yr A400m!
Is this a new vantage point? Are you further down the valley, nearer the lake?
We were on the bwlch and this a400 came down from Bala to cad. Diolch am wylio Dai.
Catch up soon!
Another mixed bag there Dafydd. F15’s are noisy old brutes or is it just me?
I think some F-22 and some Fat Amy aka F-35.
Do you know which planes will be running the loop day to day?
Or is it a surprise?
There is never a published schedule. Some days there is lots of activity, other days none. Pure pot luck.
Perhaps having a spotter at Marham or Lakenheath might be useful? 😁
this is Wales right, then why are there f-15s if the united kingdom only has eurofighters and tornado's? Btw how do you know when they fly there because i have a app that shows me what kind of aircraft there is in the world?
Was that a Police heli going through?
It was a training helicopter out of RAF shawbury.
Thanks for watching
@@DafyddPhillips Suppose they should have to practice thru' the Loop in case there's an 'OOPS' one day.
LOL @ UNC flag!!!
ohhhhh right its a place.. LOL couldnt get my head around doing a loop at Mach speed... be like 5 miles to tak a 180 lol bah... pilots... always thinking pilot shit,, I had to google " what is a mach loop LOL
Still a beauty the F15, thanks Dafydd.
It’s a timeless piece of science. Thanks for watching
