he does a lot of stuff a jazz drummer would do though. unconventional time signature changes, licks all over the place, will sometimes not emphasize the bass drum as the backbeat, etc etc.@@Proberaumwurst

one time i have ever seen this band . i snuck in before the opening act . i didn't really care about watching Defeated Sanity play , i just wanted to meet lilie . i walked up to the merch table after shootin a couple whiskeys and shook this giant's hand . he'd probably 6'3" if i remember right ! anyways i told him thank you for the making the most brutal music in the world ! he said , " that's coming from the guy in the devourment shirt . " indeed , i was the only devourment - merch - wearer in the recognizedly poser town of portland oregon . then i left . thanks again guys .
