Why is deped trying to insist opening classes if there is no concrete solution to covid 19 and there are no clear indications that we are in control of this pandemic. What is the reason in risking the health and lives of our youths and students? Is it because of monetary consideration. It is very premature at this point to anounnce reopening of classes. I believe that on our predicament at this moment, lives and safety of our students further outways education.

Personally, I will never allow my children to go back to school until this pandemic is officially declared over, meaning yung zero incidence na talaga at may vaccine nang na-discover. Education is important but it can wait. Pero ang peligro nasa tabi2 lang at naghihintay ng pagkakataon. I will never risk the lives of my children just because of a DepEd order. Si Briones ang dapat pumasok on August 24 to show everyone how invincible she is. Tingnan natin ang tibay nya!
There is a vaccine fpr covid-19 but its still not approved by the WHO.

They made this partial opening of classes and it was revealed that 70 students got afflicted with COVID-19. They took the risk and paid dearly for it.

cancellation of classes this year is one of the effective ways on how we can reduce the risk of spreading the virus and getting infected! why not consider it. everyone’s safety should be the utmost priority especially in times of difficulties. We never know what waits for the children outside their doorsteps. Besides, it will also give peace of mind sa mga parents kapag kasama lang nila anak nila sa bahay at nababantayan nila. 🤷🏻♂️

Ang lugi naman po naming mag co-college, online class lang tapos ang mahal ng tuition. Isa pa, ang hina ng internet connection sa pilipinas po at hindi lagat may resources para sa ganyan. Maybe Department of Education should also consider the fact that there are some provinces who are no longer infected by the pandemic.. In terms of that online based education, how sure are we that the students will be able to access online education given the fact that majority of the Filipino family had lost their jobs..

I have nothing against Miss Leonor Briones, but warm approval and admiration, however, for the benefits of the younger generations of FILIPINO, GIVING WAY FOR A YOUNGER AND ENERGETIC EDUCATION SECRETARY WILL BE A GREAT INSPIRATIONS TO MANY OF OUR YOUNG FILIPINOS. The suggestions of opening our schools in late August of this year without a proposed guidelines that is based on the advice of public health experts would be very critical. Policy makers need to be aware of the equivocal evidence when considering school opening by monitoring the conditions and taking steps to limit and mitigate any rebounds or outbreaks resurgence by restarting and returning to an earlier phase without proper assessment on the severity period of COVID-19. Even less disruptive social distancing interventions in schools require further consideration if restrictive social distancing policies cannot be implemented for long periods. The suggestions of Secretary Briones in adding the Virtual Learning Methods of instructions in our schools would be a great idea, however, majority( 90 per cent ) of our School Facilities are not yet ready nor it has been upgraded even to the minimum standard to accommodate and operate ON-LINE CLASSES OR VIRTUAL LEARNING. Our Teachers and instructor, majority of which (98 per cent) may have not yet even been introduce yet to this method of teaching and will need to undergo amount of training by taking special courses to learn how to navigate a Computer. Just to be clear- (in case you did'nt know where I am coming from) Online learning is education that takes place over the Internet. It is often referred to as “e-learning” among other terms. However, online learning is just one type of “distance learning” -the umbrella term for any learning that takes place across distance and not in a traditional classroom. In years past, instructors had to create their “virtual classrooms” from scratch which was difficult to begin with and very expensive. Today, an entire industry has emerged to do this for us. Course Management System (CMS) software is utilized by just about all colleges today in many western countries and part of asia (South Korea and Japan) CMS allow instructors to design and deliver their courses within a flexible framework that includes a number of different tools to enable learning and communication to occur. Secondly, and one of the most important considerations you need to do before introducing on line classes is the PROVISIONS OF THE LAW that would make VIRTUAL OR E-LEARNING a legally adapted method of instructions that would form part of the structure of the Law of the Land. ( Similar to the FERPA LAW OF THE UNITED STATES). I suggest you speak to Sen. Sonny Angara or Joel Villanueva because you will need ( a young and bright guys that understood e-learning) to introduce a Bill in Congress that would fund ( this is expensive madam) and regulate the programs, Madam Briones, sometimes giving up for the benefits of our children will give you a better sense of feelings than staying unmoved for the detriment of a modern educational structure. Help our kids and go, I guarantee, our next FILIPINO STUDENTS WILL BE MORE INTERACTIVE. THIS NEW PROSPECTIVE OF LEARNING WILL GIVE FULL BENEFITS TO OUR KIDS AND ALSO GIVE OUR YOUNG STUDENT A GOOD SENSE OF SATISFACTION AND CONFIDENCE WHEN THEY GRADUATE. IT IS NOW IN YOUR HANDS TO MAKE IT HAPPEN. THANKS AND GOD BLESS THE PHILIPPINES
Madam Briones, your another suggestion for using radio and television network as a platform of learning methods and instructions would be far more difficult to achieve, or if not, is impossible to implement. How do you plan to teach Physics, calculous, Science and Mathematics in a Radio Station or in a TV Program? Mam, let's be honest to ourselves. Teaching is not the same as watching Barney and Sesame Street. Don't compromise the future of the Filipino youths. Let us give them a chance to be competitive again. Look at the pattern of employment opportunities our new graduates receive here and abroad. Something needs to be done to correct the culture in our system of education. The number one export we have now is human talent's, but it is so unfortunate to describe what kind of talent we are producing now ( you tell me, maybe my observation is wrong) . Thanks and regards

How about the safety of the teachers? In my case, i was assigned in a 4 municipalies far area it’s hard for us to travel back in forth just to render service. My station don’t have signals & even internet connection that’s why It’s hard for us to deliver our lesson virtually. I hope they consider the welfare of the teachers as well
Pano naman yung iba. Hindi naman lahat ng students my cellphone and internet. So, ano yun hindi lahat maka pag-aaral kasi walang cellphone. At isa pa hindi naman lahat ng students ay may pang internet. Pati nga nga pagkain pinoproblema ngayon eh tapos dadagdagan nyo pa.

Dyan papasok ang mass testing, yan ang way ntin para malaman kung safe sa isang lugar. Walang positive covid cases at walang asymptomatic. Praying for the cure at vaccine.

Sana yang August is temporary date lang. Pag itong COVID 19 hindi pa matatapos before August, kailangan na cguro i extend pa ng ilang buwan. Pag may vaccine na yun okay na yang August. Hindi din po ako pabor sa online class na yan hindi po kase hindi lahat may kaya para maka bili ng Cellphone, paano namn yung mga bata mga grade school students?. Paano naman yung mga students nasa lugar na walang signal o mahina lang. Sana next year nalang yan.

I am a student and I think opening face to face classes dont make some good sense, I see a lot of people in places like divisoria and caloocan dont wear face mask or not properly worn, as a student I think online or modular classes is a lot more safer

Virtual schooling? Please remember we came from lockdown. It means no work no pay to most people. No clear guideline on how this will work. No increase no decrease in tuition fee. Plus the fact that parents need to guide their kids for online schooling. Please rember majority of the tuition is miscellaneous fee but as secretary of education MUST HAVE A CLEAR GUIDLINE in terms of payment. Dapat 50% discount pinaka lowest. . Since there is no assurance that the kids will be at school physically. Agree on continous schooling pero hindi Inayos ang execution.

Naka 2 months vacation na daw ang teachers kaya dapat magreport na sa june 1, ginawang swabbing center ang school namin, ni hindi pa bumababa ang case ng positive dun tapos papapasukin kami sa june 1? Ano daw? As if ginusto namin na maforced vacation dahil sa pandemic. Para sa safety ng mga bata? Naapektuhan ng covid ang pananaw ni madam, at ng ibang nasa deped. Nasa parents na nakasalalay ung safety ng mga magulang lalo na ung mga batang nakikipagsapalaran sa public schools
