I'm a Harry Potter fan as well. To me they just put too much in this movie, it felt like it didn't spend enough time with a lot of the characters like Lita for example, she should've gotten more than 1 movie with how interesting her story could've been. And then Nagini felt unnecessary, because now that we know Nagini used to be a girl Neville basically murdered a girl who was trapped in the body of a snake, and that girl actually killed Snape and tried to kill lots of others. And then the twist at the end was just weird because it doesn't really fit the continuity of the universe. They have a lot of explaining to do.
Fans hate it because of McGonagall's age retcon. It is not stated though that she is THE McGonagall we all know and love. They can fix it easly in the sequels. They hate that Credence is Dumbledore's relative. Fans just can't wait for answers, so they hate it from the get go. I think most of them forgot how it was with the books. We have questions asked in first ones and the answers in the last ones. They need to calm down and wait. That's all. Grindelwald may be lying to Credence, that is also a possibility. Also Nagini... yeah. I think it's better that way. Her death is now tragic, especially when you know she was a human once. I'm enjoying Fantastic Beasts and can't wait for more. I only hope that Newt is not going to be downgraded to the role of supporting character. Story should be told from his point of view. After all, it all started with him.
Snape's death gave me a truth value of "never judge a book by its cover"! So fans, be more patient! We are not even half way through the journey. I can't wait to see how J.K is gonna surprise us.

Amazing this scene "Walk with me-You are crazy" and when Depp conduct. I agree It is amazing. Can I suggest an interpretation of Queenie behavior? Remember what Snape says to Potter? A person that can read the mnd can also block his/her own mind. It is the most powerful magic. Snape could survive because it was capable of doing that. The US Magic minister sent Queen to control and spy Grindelwald. She is not crazy at all she is a spy.
This scene was fucking epic. 1. WALK WITH ME! (Was not expecting that hysterical shriek from Queenie!) 2. Queenie, DON'T DO IT! (Poor Jacob!) 3. Grindelwald fucking CONDUCTING the fire...and the music at that point was mesmerizing. 4. Theseus fighting that fire like a fucking Fury to get to Leta 5. The brothers attacking the fire together
Grindelwald is such a powerful caracter. People follow him because of love and hope, and why ? Cause the wizarding people have to hide...cause their policies of violence and surpression are leading the people into Gellerts arms..Queenie only want to marry Jacob ! She wants a family...don't judge her. I must admit that at some point...Grindelwald had me too. But like Newt, I say : I choose my side.
Grindelwald's speech had me really convinced they needed to join, considering the vision he showed of the future for Muggles was 100% accurate. How he knew is beyond me.
This movie honestly made me fear Grindelwald more than Voldemort (I didn't like Ralph Fiennes portrayal and makeup and it kind of ruined book-Voldemort for me), because whilst the latter shed his humanity in search of becoming almost a god or demon, the former doesn't hide his humanity, but knows how to use it to lure others to his cause. That's what happens in real life: politicians, prophets, entrepreneurs, all try to reach out to our feelings of helplessness and promise us a revolution in the name of love, justice, and meritocracy.
The movie was a bit of a mess but it gave us one of James Newton Howard's best scores. I really hope he continues to score the Fantastic Beasts movies.
I really don’t understand the hate around this movie...this score alone is phenomenal and it felt so much darker and more emotional than the first one. I honestly loved it
*SPOILERS* Really hope Queenie realizes Grindlewald isn’t sincere about not hating muggles and somehow contacts Jacob... I have a feeling in the last film she will try and come back to protect Tina or Jacob and Grindlewald will kill her
Unfortunately, characters like Queenie can't have an happy ending. She is good, she is kind, she is naive... but she is not stupid. She perfectly know that joining Grindelwald make her a criminal. If Grindelwald win, pain and suffer will reign. If the heroes win, Queenie will probably die, and, if not, be judged for joining Grindelwald. There is no happy ending at the end of the path she has chosen... I'm afraid she's definitively lost

@@stefanciocan1605 Nope. Sadly, Mads Mikkelsen has replaced Johnny Depp as Grindelwald for Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore. There are already calls for a boycott of the entire Fantastic Beasts franchise should Depp not be casted again.
When I heard Grindelwald speak, I really thought to myself... How is it possible that I, in a way, support him? It really made sense.
Very well done. Very well written. You know a story is good when one starts to feel sympathy for the villain.
And the fact that he was 'guiding' the fire was awesome!
Me too almost fell for him but they included obviously terrible scenes to prevent that !SPOILER!!
(killing his own pet at the start, killing the kid and killing one of his acolytes just because he doubted him slightly.
SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!
Well, he IS a terrible person. Yet his sweet-talk was actually pretty convincing. Not using violence against the Aurors.
However, there are some weird scenes that invalidate these 'teerible' scenes. He does kill his pet, but saves the European ambassador... He kills one of his acolytes, yet morns for the death of one of his followers. He let one of his acolytes kill the kid, yet yells 'STOP' at the Aurors and his acolytes when they nearly engage one another to maintain peace.
Some things are just... weird.
@@khorneberserker
- was that really his pet? I thought it was more of a watchdog
- he does not morn the death of hif follower, the whole thing was staged the Auror who killed her worked for Grindelwald
@@masterxehanort3624 Oh really? I didn't know that about the Auror.
Anyway, you are right though... It was all sweet-talk so... ;)
@@khorneberserker yes only sweet talk to the outside and in reality just all set up without much feelings.
2:32, I cry.
*"I hate paris!"*
Like a boss, or a James Bond Villain dropping a bomb behind him while saying "Until next time, mister Bond !"
I loved that moment. A funny quote in a dramatic sequence
I was gonna comment that XD
Init
Sahin Düzgün Ah, so that’s what he said...I guess the city of love and romance rubbed Gellert off in the wrong way. XD
This soundtrack is incredible.
This moment when you have goose bumps and tears in your eyes at the same time
The best theme in this epic and emotional soundtrack, the part of Creedence, Nagini, Jacob and Queenie, destroyed me, and then Grindelwald casting the spell as he was conducting an Orchestra, I died.
Hecho divertido: mientras el elenco de Harry Potter tomó clases de esgrima para usar su varita como una espada, Johnny Depp tomó clases de dirigir una orquesta
This music is the sound of despair. So many characters ripped apart from each other. Devastating but Beautiful piece.
What a perfectly adequate movie with a thrilling third act.
*Leta turns*
"I love you..."
My heart 😫
3:00 "WALK WITH ME" still gets me everytime chills everywhere 🔥
The FINEST piece of the whole soundtrack, and the most HAIR-RAISING moment in the film!
My mind was so pre-occupied after the "You are crazy" moment that I couldn't focus on the spectacular battle after that...
nobody can replace johnny, this scene showed that.
So aggravating a main villain now 3 fcking movies in...
F them
Mads mikkleson can!
@@EarnestTargenfyre I don't want anyone but Johnny, what WB did was disgraceful.
@@EarnestTargenfyre you must be the reason pineapple pizza exists
@@cybershake9200 Maybe!
Absolute chills and heart pounding at this scene!!! The way they added in a version of Jacob’s Farewell in this when they were talking made me so sad
This track just builds so well.
This part of the movie is so amazing I have no words really.
i really don't understand fans any more .. how this get a bad reviews .. i may not harry potter fan but i still like wizards world and this one is one of the best movies .. johnny and jude were the best think in the movie and this soundtrack was the best with this is breath taking .. don't listen to people reviews go watch you for sure you will like it
Yes once again critics prove they are the most shitty people on this planet.Unless a movie is made under disney/marvel banner they are not satisfied
Fans are just being stupid if they're letting the McGonagal cameo ruin the whole film for them. Ridiculous.
Snape's death gave me a truth value of "never judge a book by its cover"! So fans, be more patient! We are not even half way through the journey. I can't wait to see how J.K is gonna surprise us.
This scene hit me. The score is perfect, when Queenie screams at Jacob, I was shook, & sad.
Epic. One of my favorite soundtrack out there.
0:00-0:45 Gives the British ministry of magic vibes!
James Newton Howard really did a great job in the first and second film, hope he can keep composing for the Fantastic Beasts series.
2:30 onwards
2:31 From that part forward is my favorite part. Is there anyone else who likes that part?
Meee
Literally everyone here for that piece of score.
I was far too shocked to even cry in theaters!
Those first seconds remind me so much to the Ministry of Magic and I am in love. Amazing song
Is it weird that I wanted to join Grindelwald after his speech?
Voldemort is pathetic compared with Grindelwald.
It just shows you are very influenceable. That's why people voted for NSDAP in 1933
@@Ville_x grindelwald is definitely the magical hitler. i think they probably did mean to have that as a connection
@@dodgyryan8993 also Grindelwald did also very cruel crimes in eastern europe while his reign....he wasnt that brutal and bad like hitler...but they have much in common. (despite the fact that Grindelwald for sure would kill hitler....he is one of the pillars Grindelwald fears for the future etc.
Me too haha
2:30 sounds like fighting a losing battle
And 3:30 would be winning the battle.
@@duckshell8344 More like the aftermath after losing the battle
Well... pretty much 😭
This song and this scene are so powerful, that I like to watch and listen to it over and over even after months
I love these epic music... I live in a town called Luton which is in the UK, and I was watching this on the 13th of November in Honolulu, Hawaii whilst on my vacation... So not was the movie just great, every time the part where 2:30 starts, that’s when all the good memories comes flying back in to my head... Not to forget, that vomit feeling of Queenie joining the dark side... This music is powerful...

WALK WITH ME
I'm crying
"I love you" she said as she looked at both Newt and his brother. Who do you think she really meant to say it to?
I think she meant Newt.
@@sev1626 That's why Theseus cried so bad after that? (Sorry for the bad joke).
Both?
Both because she loved them both but for different reasons.
Both I think
GO WITH ME!
YOU‘RE CRAZY!!
QUEENIE NOO!
This scene was AMAZING! An Then Grindelwald and his Elder Wand presentation🤩
It was simply UNBELEVABLE
Everyone is talking about how sad the queenie and Jacob scene was but can we take a moment to recognize how epic Nicolas flamel was
I'm in tears!!! My heart hurts hearing this and remembering the scene 😭😭😭
I fell asleep half way through the movie but I woke up just in time for this scene. It was worth it!
This is a masterpiece.
Look at the 'I,' 'G,' and 'A.' You will not be disappointed.
I love u
Thank you, James, for this fantastic music!
We can all agree the movie wasn’t perfect but we can at least agree that Johnny depp stole the show specially when he lifts his wand at 3:30 that was pretty dope
Can’t wait to see more and I’m sure Rowling won’t let us down this next time
Am I the only one who heard a bit of Goblet of Fire in there? Both COG and GOF not only took a dark turn, but the dark wizard stepped out and there were blue flames that turned the tide. Very amazing!! :D
I get goosebumps at this scene.
Almost three months later, I'm still not over "WALK WITH ME" and "I love you"
Such a haunting piece of music with a visually amazing scene and heartbreaking events. I was crying seeing this!
(Was not expecting that hysterical shriek from Queenie!)
2. Queenie, DON'T DO IT! (Poor Jacob!)
3. Grindelwald fucking CONDUCTING the fire...and the music at that point was mesmerizing.
4. Theseus fighting that fire like a fucking Fury to get to Leta
5. The brothers attacking the fire together
Fire, music, love, each illustrated Brilliantly in one song💔
Mr. Scamander! Do you think Dumbledore will mourn for you? -Gellert Grindelwald, 1927
This just shows how powerful Grindelwald is. He just plays with the fire as he wish. So majestic and confident.
Honestly, he had me sold. During the movie, I would've joined him and his cause
D'Andra _Panda yeah and the if he orders you to kill a child because he needs a house he had you sold right ;)
Saw this three times and this was still too awesome. One of my favorite movies.
"Go forth. Disapparate. Spread the word. It is not we who are violent."
I've not even seen the movie yet but damn I'm listening to this soundtrack every day.
"mr.scamander, do you think dumbledore will mourn for you?"
The movie was a bit of a mess but it gave us one of James Newton Howard's best scores. I really hope he continues to score the Fantastic Beasts movies.
The crescendo in this piece is epic!
"Mr Scamander! Do you think Dumbledore will mourn for you?"
1:35 "Aurors, came here and join to me in this circle".
instant goosebumps at 3:30
I really don’t understand the hate around this movie...this score alone is phenomenal and it felt so much darker and more emotional than the first one. I honestly loved it
First albus Dumbledore farewell music and now this both are amazing.....
I love this piece. I followed James Newton Howard since 'The Hunger Games' Movies Scores, I hope he can finish all 'Fantastic Beasts' Movies Scores.
It has a mockingjay feel to the track like in Part 1 & 2 of that hopelessness.
This song Broke my heat
And the scene
"Walk with meeeeee"
Your crazy
Quinee don't do it
But she done it already😭😭😭😭
We have to wait a year and 300 days for the next film
😭
I never cried at movies. But in this year I did two times.. Here and in Avengers: Infinity War
2:32 MAN FROM THIS IT HURTS SO SAD😭😭
*SPOILERS*
Really hope Queenie realizes Grindlewald isn’t sincere about not hating muggles and somehow contacts Jacob...
2:31 till the end! Goosebumps all over the place!
simply in love with this masterpiece 😍
