    i found the best way to learn about glove sizing was watching What Pros Wear’s locker tours, and just listening to the different glove sizes different sized major leaguers use, and anywhere from 5’10 to 6’5 guys use the same size most of the time

    • @BennyMiller
      @BennyMiller  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah it’s surprising how many guys use the same glove with some guys being like half a foot taller pretty cool tho

    This was helpful. Thank you. Lately i been seeing little league kids with over sized gloves and was a bit confused with the reasoning.

    my recommendations for catchers comes down to hand size. for young guys 32” is good, 33” is good for high school or college, and 34” is for pro guys or adults playing in their own league

    Great video. Need your opinion please. Sophomore SS/2b using 11.25 a2000. Recently switched to 11.5. Smaller hands but should I use the 11.5 for short and 11.25 for 2b. The 11.25 feels better at both positions but people always say I need a bigger glove. Your thoughts please and thanks

    Appreciate your videos- one question: You say hand size doesnt matter, but youth players(too old for youth gloves) 12-14 have smaller hands. Wilson and Rawlings have the Pedroia fit and Contour fit gloves for that reason. Does 44 recommend a certain glove that would be tighter for young teenage hands?

    Leaning towards the 14” for adult slowpitch, play primarily OF.

      It's slow pitch, use your barehand.

      I purchased a 13.5" softball outfield glove from them and it's huge. Later ordered a C2 13.25" 1st base softball glove and it felt like a 13"

    My 10 year old is currently in a 11 inch glove. I purchased him a 12 inch for Xmas but it seemed too big for him. He seem to play and catch better with his 11 inch. I want to get him a new glove. He plays third, pitcher and sometimes outfield. I was thinking maybe a 11.25 or 11.5. What do you suggest?

    • @Jacksonm21
      @Jacksonm21 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would suggest a 11.5 because he plays third and outfield

    My son is 9 years old, he played short stop and he's pitcher. What size is best for him?

    • @therealrickytan
      @therealrickytan 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      at 9 or 10 years old, it doesn't really matter because he is still learning the game, which is more important that the glove he is using. As long as the glove is comfortable for him and he is able to do what he does, it doesn't matter.
      it's only when the skill outgrows the glove, and he notices that his glove is holding him back does it really matter. Bigger you can handle the the better, would be common sense, but then you have the Jeters out there that use a small glove like an 11.5 from high school all the way to pro and beyond, and go on to have a HOF career with the same glove size. which goes to my point, it doesn't matter. yes, you can generalize things, but understanding the game is more important than what glove you're using.

    Can I use a 11.75 at second base or do I have to use a 11.5

    • @jay916hub
      @jay916hub 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can use a 11.75 but know that a smaller glove makes transfers easier but 11.75 is still usable at 2nd

  • @Krausie

      Dude age doesn't matter, get a 11.75 for 3rd no matter the age. 12.25 is ridiculous in this video.

      @@luissandoval4926 it depends on hand size I believe the SS for the pirates uses a 12 inch or a 12.25 inch
