A 1-1/4” 12 point socket works beautifully fitting over the fixture that holds the bulb in place. It reaches across the two tabs and let’s you loosen that tight rascal. I used a 1-1/4”socket, a 3/8” to 1/2” adapter and a 3/8 inch ratchet with a flex head and I couldn’t believe how easy it was. I loosened and then tightened it using the same tool.

The lights from Kia lasted for almost 5 years!!! This bulb from Adv Auto only a year as well. I can’t get my drivers side off. I need a left hander. 😂 thanks for the video
I had my mechanic replace the driver side low beam when I took it in for other work and I had assumed he'd replace both...... Haha! The passenger side light went out days later! I got a set of two brighter replacement bulbs and replaced both. Super easy except there's practically no room for my hands! The key advice is to practice putting in the harness before removing it completely since there is no room and it is impossible to see!!! Once I got the feel for that, literally, the job was a piece of cake.
I couldn't get my hands in there so I used an inch and a quarter short socket and slid it over the tabs that holds the headlight once you get the cover off and I was able to get enough leverage to turn it really easy.
What worked for me: loosen all the bolts as you did in your first video but do not pull out the plastic lens. This will give you an extra half inch of room without having to worry about breaking the lens. If bulb is stuck tight use a 1 and 1/4 socket on it to remove. Place back by hand, replace bolts etc and your done.
Hadi Khan awesome!!! I hope it helped. I think Kia had that as part of its plan ( make it challenging for customers ) so that they bring their car in for light bulb replacement. That would be a very pricey bulb replacement.
Great vid. It helped me get started but if you have HID you have to remove entire headlight assembly. The bulb is actually screwed into the housing with 2 Phillips screws. It wasn’t super hard just some gentle wiggling. Also you can access the fog lamps easily with the headlight removed.

Yes they are,there should be a Lever to pull at the bottom rear somewhere. If you have the middle seat consider yourself lucky they cost more then 500 hundred dollars extra!

Didn't work for me but I used one of my plumbers wrench to loosen it up and it came out. Thanks, it still saved me some time.

I used a looped string on a flange to pull on or twist the inner piece off.
I am hoping to find ease with your instructions, every repair shop is quoting me $200 just for labor to put in this $18 bulb 😖

My thumbs are bad. I used two tools to push and pull the light in a circular motion to loosen.
