About the fall prevention. When you are near the edge of the platform. Holding Shift key IIRC will glue you to the edge of platform and as long you are holding the key you wont "fall off" the platform.
Regarding the creature parts for resarch: There are multiple positions where hogs are either near poison pillars, near poisonous plants or near spitters, which lead to their death. This way you can collect the parts without taking the guilt of killing those cute little buggers. 😁
Super solid video, but I just wanted to throw this out there. I feel like everything you said in your intro was just straight up wrong. I've played both Satisfactory and Factorio for a few hundred hours each, and Factorio is far more technologically advanced, it focuses way more on exploration since mineral mines deplete and that forces you to go out and find more minerals, and Factorio focuses way more on combat as well with actual base defense. I'm not saying any of this to bash on Satisfactory, it's actually because of all of these things that I prefer Satisfactory most of the time. It's a chill automation game that has easily dividable numbers where I can explore at my leisure and engage in combat when I'm ready to. That is what Coffe Stain is going for with this game. I'll occasionally pick up Factorio again, but not when I'm looking for chill vibes. I'll only play Factorio now when I want that extra challenge of building a factory around base defense. Not bashing you or your video, I just don't think anything you said in your into was correct. The rest of it was great, but I just needed to say that. Good luck on your TH-cam career, and may you one day hang out with the likes of other TH-cam millionaires.
Regarding the assembler fall damage reset clutch, the reason it has a slope in the hitbox on the front and back of the central octagon is because of the starting positions of its arms.
You used to be able to ragdoll yourself to avoid damage. I think they removed it and you get one freebie as long as you have a full health bar- it will take you down to a half heart but shouldn't till you.
If you have transient power flows from Coal, you aren't building your power plant correctly. 1x 120 coal mine with a mk2 belt, and 3x water pumps will exactly match 8 coal generators. Once everything is linked, wait for the coal and water to fill every single generator before powering up your system. It will auto balance after that with no changes to the power output. If you aren't at mk2 belts, you skipped ahead and shouldn't be making coal generators anyway.
Yeah, there's no "I'm gonna hop on for an hour and get my coal plant going." 4 hrs later. "If I put this wall here, I can make this look really cool and...wait, what time is it? Aw crap"
The most important Tip I learned when playing Satisfactory is you don't need lots of power. Switch on and off parts of your factory to manage the power consumption in earlier part of the game.
@@Chris_deLaw83 Always a Good Idea. But the Space Elevator parts to get to coal is tough. You end up spending a lot of time chopping trees for power before that. Instead to me it makes a lot of sense just to Prioritize what you need. You can switch that on and off and work on something else then when you think you have enough of that. Switch that off and switch on some other task.
@@wolwerine0007 I disagree. You can craft the materials for Logistics 1 and obstacle clearing by hand. Then you unlock solid biofuel and the chainsaw. You build a production line for solid biofuel. A container for leaves. Two constructors produce biomass. Another container for wood. Two constructors produce biomass. Then one constructor each for solid biofuel. Power need: 6x4= 20 MW. Then you can fill the biomass burner with solid biofuel and automate iron plates, rods, screws and wire and concrete for the space elevator. I couldn't wait for 1.0 and started a new save in the Dune Dessert.
You can prevent falling off the platform by building railings along the edge and modern railing can be used on the ramps these can be purchased in the awesum shop with tickets from the awsum sink which is a tire two item.
Huh, the angle thing on fall damage would have been nice to know, before the parachute change. Now I can get a parachute within an hour of starting a new game, so little help for me now.
@@626games Oh yeah my dude, makergaming is experimenting on designing a parachute launcher, but he got the idea from someone else on the satisfactory reddit. It's swesome

I'm almost positive this doesn't work but it definitely should
Yeah I don't think we have minecraft collision detection
You sure it isn't the c key? That is the crouch button in Satisfactory.
Always start your builds by aligning the first foundation piece you put down with the world grid.
been playing for 4 years
Never knew you could stop fall damage with an assembler lmao
I kinda just fell into that one 😁

Excellent point!

Have about 1500h over 3 play saves.
Didnt know that you can Autocraft with thr Space craft 😂
Thx mate
That one came from a viewer. I did not utilize this much myself until it was too late!
wish id known this too!
I'm here for the music
Fun fact: One hour "in game" is 13 hours in real life.
This game WILL eat your time without you knowing.

Gonna have to look up a video of Satisfactory rag dolling, lmao
Before batteries, a large bank of biomass burners act as a buffer for transient negative power flows.

@@Snarksneeze my transients come from the demand side. I don't bother to make item production balanced at all. Lots of start/stops of my buildings.
one of the best tips: You SHOULD have time to play it
This is a good tip, I've had to walk away and completely forgotten what I was doing after I came back, plenty of times.
