- Here we go again with the twins Carny and Crista!
This episode we want to show you the difference between 540 Can and 550 Can motors in a crawler.
As with all these videos the only thing different this time are the motors.
Our 2 victims this episode are the:
Reedy Radon 2 Crawler 5-Slot Brushed Motor 16T
makemyfun.ca/p...
And the
Reedy Radon 2 Crawler 550 5-Slot 16T Rebuildable Brushed Motor
makemyfun.ca/p...
Enjoy the video and we hope this helps you with your motor choices.
Please excuse the wind noise!
Ignore the opening where it says episode 3.... it's late , I need coffee
Im having a tough time getting my reedy radon2 16t 550 to hold my rig on an angle. Drag brakes are set to max on my 1080. Still rolls. I have a 9 lbs rig. With the trailmaster sport and crawlmaster it would hold that sucker all day everyday.
That’s your problem, you have a heavy rig sitting at 9lbs. Think about holding an empty shopping cart on a hill. Now try doing the same on. Full size car….. my crawlers are 5pbs max and that’s with battery included and I have no issues with the drag brake hold at a crazy incline.
Did you notice any difference and how would these compare to the holmes hobbies crawlmaster sport for half the price
Yes the 550 had better torque , smoothness and ran cooler. Not sure where your finding Holmes crawlmasters for half the price but I couldn’t tell you how they compare. This isn’t a brand comparison.
@@mmfmakemyfun reedy radon 2 540 are $35 and 550 $40. Holmes hobbies are $15 540, and $19 for 550
@@mmfmakemyfun i do like the reedy motors because of the ease of maintenance on them
But that’s comparing rebuildable to sealed the rebuildable crawlmasters are in the $55 range
@@mmfmakemyfun that much is true. This is a good video and a good comparison too.
