- I made this little tribute movie a few years ago. What's really fun for me is that James Darren saw it and like it . He wrote something nice to me.
What a thrill, I have watched the movie Gidget so many times, It always makes me feel better.
I hope you enjoy. Also hear him sing the song.
To the few who feel I go too fast, this is a little moving picture. This is why I move the photographs at the speed I do. If you want to study a photograph, stop the film. This is a moment in time meant for you to relax and go for the ride. You see what you see and you feel what you feel. Its a little movie trying to take you somewhere else. Relax and let me take you there. To really get anywhere one must let go.

Gidget is a 1959 American CinemaScope comedy film.[3][4] It stars Sandra Dee, James Darren, Cliff Robertson, Arthur O'Connell and The Four Preps. in a story about a teenager's initiation into the California surf culture and her romance with a young surfer.
Francine Lawrence (Sandra Dee) is about to turn 17 and is on her summer break between her junior and senior years of high school. She resists the pressure to go "manhunting" with her girlfriends and laments the days when the girls had fun together without boys. Francie also rejects her parents wishing to fix her up on a date with the son of a friend of the family, Jeffrey Matthews (James Darren).
