Why do the medivacs stay so far back?? Is there any setting that I need to change to make them stay above the group? I hate having to pull em up each time. Like they sit back there watching my troops die
Probably, low leash range or wrong target priority. AFAIK, all healing units in SC2 have invisible weapon attached to them which automatically targets friendly units in combat (damaged or not) so they won't rush like templars before they got their auto-attack. It looks like in this particular case, medivacs targetted missile troopers with their high attack range, add range of invisible weapon to this mix, and you end up with healbots kilometers behind your frontline. Can be fixed by increasing autocast leash range on heal. However, this footage was captured on Mengsk's release, IDK if anything regarding the topic was changed since then.
