Wow I didn't know it was so old. Recently surfaced again. It's crazy well built for it's time. It's dangerous with the steepness but it's a pretty unique track with how much high speed sections it has. 12 minutes 58 seconds. 2020 race record 11 minutes 35 seconds.
Great to see Mt Psychosis still going after all these years... Awesome and nice one Sam for taking it on, must be great for bike fitness as I have heard the arm pump after a run on this course is unbelievable.
I have never participated in a sport were the people are a genuinely cool as downhill Mtn biking. You can walk up to any champion level guy and shoot the breeze like a normal dude. The mentor ship in the sport is also unreal. Everybody cares about the sport. Sam hill seems a great guy indeed...never met him. Steve Smith is one of the most decent guys you will ever meet...Remember that name folks!..Steve is the newest rocket in town! :) Good luck this year Steve!

awesome, i don't think any sport compares in being one with nature as montain biking does. The bike is propelled by your own force and you get to experience only what the wind does when it goes through a beautiful forest or mountain or any outdoor area, i get such a high when I'm done hitting a trail as fast as i can, which is never fast enough...

I love DH coz when u r going very fast, and when u know that braking will make the situation just worst u have to 'trust ur bike' and let it go slightly down the trail, and trail leads u all the way to the end.

im 14 years old and a motocross rider. i tried it downhill last year and loved it. it was fun. over the winter i worked out. a lot! and i did it again... i never knew i could go that fast! i went down a black diamond in Deepcreek Marlyand in under 4 minutes! Thats fucking fast for a 14 year old!
the only downside about downhill in an olympic perspective is that you rely on the nature, which is hard to fit in an arena :S but yeah i totally agree with you
It gets very tiring after awhile...I live on a farm with a smaller mountain range way in the back of our land and I used to go all the time, and it wears you out after a while
