@@williamrhardin I have a steel Fairdale Rockitship with 48mm gravelking SKs 🤣. Should I just try using that? Narrower tires? Or just borrow a CX bike? What would you do for just a first time "try it out" race?
for the Cross curious MTB guys and gals, you can race cross on a mountain bike if you just want to see what the fuss is all about before you invest in more equipment.
I feel like cross has made me a more well rounded cyclist. I'm more confident on the bike in non-optimal conditions because of the skills learned racing cross. Cyclocross also seems to have a completely different vibe than road racing. It's more fun and less serious.
would love to see cx race breakdowns!
On it!
It'd be a bit out of your way but the Midwest has got a pretty decent cross scene. Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky.
don’t forget indiana as well
Likely doing king's cross and nationals in louisville!
Will, you too?! Everyone is asking me if I'm going to race CX this year for the first time lol. I just might... hmmmm
You should!!! It's a blast

This is a great video! I caught the CX bug recently and always looking for tips and strategies to improve.
I'll keep them coming! Hope you have a great cross season!

A little dabble on the MTB goes a long way!
Wondering what your thoughts are on running a gravel bike setup / gravel tire for cyclocross racing? Love this format btw!
Can absolutely do it! Works totally fine in dry, and is legal in most local races, where you don't have a tire size limit

Absolutely! 100% agree
So is the cross course at the Childrens home open to ride? I might have to go over and roll a few laps.
Not the one at children's home, this is the one on the other side of town, DM me and I'll give details when we go out!
