Hi My Loves, Welcome back to my channel! Join me as we celebrate my friend Dienabou's wedding in the traditional way.
Traditional part of the wedding explained
So the husband’s family fills the calabash is with the white clothes that the bride had on. While in the room the families come and give advice to the bride.
The calabash is then filled with milk which the bride and the groom drink the next day as they start their new life together. And finally the bride is carried down and brought to her mother’s family and the celebration begins.

A little more background on the traditional part. So the husband’s family fills the calabash is with the white clothes that the bride had on. While in the room the families come and give advice to the bride.

This was a beautiful wedding, but I have a question. Are women who are divorced allowed to be in the room with the bride beforehand, or do they have to be married currently?

Hi Audrey! Am glad you enjoyed the video. I believe it’s as long as they are currently married or divorced as well they are welcomed in. But all this is a mix of culture and myths. Lots of people don’t really follow this anymore . But it’s just for not wanting to bring ”bad luck” to the younger women.
