Canadians were, are and will always be a little bit British by traditions. We are probably the more British people outside U.K. and I am sure that our British friends who live in U.K. like it too.
@Hélène Montreuil Then explain how come there is a New *England* in the USA? And our stores and other mashed up together like it's Central London in England, UK? WE AMERICANS are the ones that are probably the more British outside of the UK, We're just Independent and Free, that's all. We still drive the royal carriage in Virginia after all these years. And still fly the Grand Union Flag and our other British flags flown on the mainland. We fought against the Redcoats in 1775-81 and now We're Wearing Them! - Bearskin hat, Red Coat, White or Blue suit pants, Honoring the mother country just as the same time as our own country, You guys may have had Kings but they were ALL modern Kings, We Americans had British Kings who were fit to be medieval, 1607 is the exact year date, Just a few years earlier would Her Majesty Queen Anne's death would be. When Her Majesty The Queen came to visit the USA in 2007, She was greeted like she was home. And now look at us today, Taking charge in royal presents, Since May 19th, 2018, The Royal Family has received an American, And has once again on May 6th, received another American, The Queen loves America so much that i think she chooses the revolutionary country and her country more than Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. You guys may have a royal flag as a standard but what We Americans have is something DEEPER than just royal representation. I want you to take a look at a video to understand how British that America has been vs. how British that Canada has been. President Washington's family was actually related to His Majesty King George III, President George H.W. Bush was actually related to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Twice Removed as cousin, and President George W. Bush is still actually related to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Twice Removed as cousin. Canada doesn't have true history with The Royal Family like we do, Because America is British before Canada was a noble idea. th-cam.com/video/IXB64HJGsYQ/w-d-xo.html
This reminds me of. "March of the Wooden Soldiers" which always played on Turkey Days. And my mother would call us for dinner 20 minutes before the movie ended, so i dont know what happened, but these marching bands are no Turkeys! Thanks. And God bless!🎉🎉
5:23 As a percussionist myself, I absolutely non-sarcastically love how the snare drummer need to accent the off beats because there are no cymbal player.
The band does a nice job. Thank you for posting. I must ask one questions: Where on earth are the spectators along the parade route or during the playing of the anthems? It's almost as if this to be a private event and the public were asked to please stay away.
This was on Remembrance Sunday, in the province of Ontario, which follows the British custom of observing Remembrance Day on a Sunday. That might explain the apparent absence of a crowd for the parade. Other Canadian provinces, except Nova Scotia and Quebec, observe Remembrance Day on November 11, with the expected crowds at the parades. For example, this video is from New Westminster, BC, on November 11 2017 (I'm playing trumpet in the scarlet-coated band.) th-cam.com/video/EUGHgQ_p8hE/w-d-xo.html
Yet their tunics have buttons in "one" like the Grenadier Guards as they were once called the Royal Grenadiers and they are officially affiliated with LANCS
@@alvindurochermtl Ahaa. That explains the Fusilier hackle. Still worn today by the very large Regular and Reserve battalions of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers in UK. 👍
Why no fixed bayonet? Why no rifles at all? The Royals have the Freedom of the City of Toronto, they can march downtown, with fixed bayonets, any time they want to. Do they even make bayonets anymore? Damn, I feel old.
@@Marco-bf4uu The Asians were instrumental in helping to build the nation too...apart of the old Empire....namely the Canadian Pacific Railway across the 5,000k to the Pacific in the 1880's....and most welcome.
Canadian Forces do not have ceremonial dress uniforms. Traditional ceremonial uniforms on Reserve Force units are provided from fund raised in the private sector.
Heck of a good show, eh? 👌 But let's see the 48th Highlanders or the Princess Pats! And, dear Gawd - is that Gawd Save Her Nibs in downtown Toronto? So glad they switched to OUR anthem. God Bless my Country and those who defend Her!💕
I have good friends in the 48th. I think if you note that the Royal Anthem is also in their tradition as in all Canadian Regiments. Drop by Fort York Armoury some day.
As the creator of this video and member of this unit I think your comment is BS. The marching segment only shows the Band marching and at no time is there a single musician out of step.
So proud to be associated with such a wonderful people as the Canadians, fondest greetings and best wishes form the UK.

A really good standard of drill - A1+

What’s that song called at the beginning of 1:23?
DO GAMING British Grenadiers March.

They look amazing, very smart
If the Bass continues to carry the Bass Drum that low he will end up with back problems.
Perfectly timed dog bark--is that part of the percussion section?

I find it odd none of the warrant officers and officers have swords, can someone please tell me why this is?
Remembrance Sunday, only the color guard is armed.
Well played traditional matches of the queens guards, many are familiar heard also played by the grenadiers the cold streams and welsh

Wellington March

That is the canadian grenadier guards
It's not, it's the RCR and looks like it may be the reserve battalion of the regiment
It is The Royal Regiment of Canada, Militia Regiment based in Fort York, Toronto, ON.
Can someone please tell me the first march name?
