    Great animation tutorial my friend! The animation perfectly conveys the feelings of the characters, their movement, beautiful colors and materials :)

    Ty for the tut, 1 little question though, if i want to use the camera from IClone inside Unreal, how on earth is that done? when i pilot the camera there is no hair physics, and if i press the Play inside unreal to get the physics working there is no camera? so what am i missing here?

    • @wholesome3d
      @wholesome3d  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks Bobby. I’m not sure if my response is going to be helpful because I use Unreal to render movies, and not for creating games - so my experience with the game simulation and the play button is very limited.
      Regarding the camera, I usually create my camera animations inside Unreal (rather than transfer the iClone ones) because the transferred iClone camera has some limitations (especially around depth of field) and I have more control of the unreal camera. I animate the Unreal camera inside the sequencer.
      With reference to the physics, I usually have to fix the hair and cloth physics after transfer because the two programs react different to it. The physics is more ‘bouncy’ in Unreal. With the correct physics settings, I have no problem rendering the physics animations in the Movie Render Que. Reallusion has a great step-by-step video to help set up the camera and the hair and cloth physics.

      @@wholesome3d Thanx for the answer, is there anny where where this exact procedure is explained? " I animate the Unreal camera inside the sequencer. With reference to the physics"

      @@HobbyBobby. Hey Bobby,
      1. For cloth physics you can check out this tutorial by Reallusion… th-cam.com/video/OhAjOVCSSt8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=OxC3xyFPeDQI5nBM
      2. For hair Physics you can have a look at this tutorial:

      3. For animating the camera in the Sequencer - you can have a look here.

    One more question. Why do we need a transfer link if you use only the export fbx option directly into the unreal project in the content in the new folder? I thought that we can use a transfer link to do that with one click. do not understand.

      @wholesome3d  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Tanya, So, I’ll be explaining the difference in my next tutorial (when I focus on the Link Link plug in) but one of the biggest advantages of Live Link is the ability to tweak animations, transformation keys and props movement in Unreal, before you export them.
      Often, I export a character with her relevant animation only to discover that the position didn’t come through properly. Maybe there is ‘body poke through’ or the facial expression or blink is wrong. Live link allows me to fix these beforehand because what you see in iClone is not always what you get in Unreal.

    thank you for this tutorial. I don't know how you managed to transfer your characters to Unreal. I can't export either the original or the modified characters that I've worked on in CC4. Not only can they not be exported to Unreal, but they can't be exported as an FBX file either. It keeps mentioning the license. Do we need an extended license for all characters? This is unbelievable and disappointing. Do you have an extended license for all your characters?

    • @wholesome3d
      @wholesome3d  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Tanya,
      Thanks for taking the time to comment.
      So, the short answer is ‘yes’ you need to have the extended licence to export characters, hair, clothing items and even motions or CC morph sliders out of the Reallusion Ecosystem.
      If you are sure you have the extended license on all the items your trying to transfer and get this message you need to go to the Help tab, and click on ‘Activate purchased items’
      In you’re not keen on buying the extended licence, why not try exporting the Reallusion embedded characters, like Kevin or Camilla.
      Otherwise, you can bring in toon-Style characters, clothing and accessories from Daz 3D, using the Transformation tool in CC3 or CC4, edit them and send them over to Unreal.

      @tanyasubaBg ปีที่แล้ว

      @wholesome3d thanks. Yeah, I realized that.And that is very disappointing. You have to pay for everything extra money. I dont have experience in Unreal but wanted to use my characters in wonderful nature and have that scene but unfortunately don't know how to use it properly. I know that I can use their main map to see the whole scene, but I still don't know how to manipulate using their camera or maybe use a camera from the Iclone.
      But, after reading your comment, I understand that the first thing is to make new characters.

      @@tanyasubaBg Yes, the export licenses are expensive. I will be covering the animation of Unreal cameras in a future video.
      Happy to answer any questions you may have regarding the transfer process.

    How to Create Scen On Unreal Engine ❤

    • @wholesome3d

      I used a scene that I purchased (very cheaply) from the Unreal Engine marketplace.
      You can check out the scene in this video.
