I wore this for the first time yesterday, and I'm impressed. Smells great, it doesn't get too "sun tan lotion" with the coconut, and the performance was better than I expected on an unseasonably cold day in NYC. This will be a staple for me when the weather warms up.
I don't like coconut, so I tend to avoid all the Le Beau's, but I smelled this one, and surprisingly.... this one piqued my interest, smelled really nice from what I smelled

This is a really nice fragrance that brings in a lot of compliments. Smells very fresh, and tropical/beachy with nice hints of coconut that does not drive it into the realm of suntan lotion. Quentin Bisch hit a home run with this fragrance! It very much resembles the signature scent of 1 Hotel South Beach, Miami

Do you know if JPG is still going to produce Le Beau EDT or EDP and will they be available in the future? Or, is JPG replacing those two fragrances with Paradise Garden?
Just got a 2.5oz bottle from Walmart. Paid $116, didn't want to miss my window to wear it this year so I pulled the trigger. 4.2oz is also available on Walmart going for $150.

I almost bling bought it, but instead got a 5ml sample from ebay. It was not a hit, my wife kind of recoiled. I like the opening a bit, but I almost wonder if I actually got this as the sample? Almost reminds me of the Vanilla Tree air freshener-esque mixed with something. My wife swears she's smelled it before, and I vaguely do feel that was as well... which, I haven't heard comparisons of this any other frags outside of the line, really, and I've only smelled OG LPG LM (Which I did not like.). I also don't really get any coconut, but perhaps that's the point? Maybe that's what I'm getting hints of? Anyway, it also got shipped through freezing cold temps and was left in those temps for a couple days, so maybe that spoiled it somewhat. I'll have to test it in store when I get a chance.
In my country they dropped at a big box store 2 weeks ago so I went in and picked up a big bottle. I now have LM, LB, LBPG & LMLP. Even thinking about picking up a back up bottle before they sell out it's so divine. They are on ebay with a 30/50% premium - when it's still actually in stock lol.

Just need something that lasts in the heat. My Le Male Superman is almost gone after 5 years and its just painful😂 One of my most complimented frags by far, people love vanilla. Only other freshie that outdid it in longevity was Aqua Di Gio Essenza.
I called Jean Paul Gaultiers customer service number the other day and asked when it will be available in the US. The rep said they have received many phone calls and don't have a date but it is coming.
Fragrances are personal preference. Plus everyone skin sends out different layers of scent depending on person. If you don't like it? That's awesome! If you do wear it with pleasure. Stop the hate. Lol
I've been wanting to get Le Beau le parfum, but I think this one makes more sense for me with the dialed down sweetness. This would also be my first JPG purchase.
Wierd. I thought at the beggining that it was too similar to le parfum, but the drydown is very different and that's the part I really like. I also smell wormwood in the dry down. Probably the "green notes".
I got my nose on this one. If you can get this for under $100, it is decent purchase. Paradise Garden comes across as something Calvin Klein would had released and nobody would be even talking about it. But hey fragrance is subjective. Great review regardless!

When you say discounter, what exactly do you mean? Retail stores?
Got mine yesterday and love it, but weak performance on me. Only lasts about an hour or so. Maybe I'm doing this wrong...
