Husband has a PET scan on the first. Then should be starting Lu-177. He did get cabazitaxel treatment today until his PET scan results later next month. His doxetaxel stopped working after Lynparza. Stay strong everyone!!! 🙏🏻💙🙏🏻
Since february 2022 My father has metastatic prostate cancer to the bones, doctors recommend these treatments: Hormone therapy every 3 months + 6 cycle docetaxel his psa dropped from 1000 to 53 in march, after it raise to 145 in august, now 99 they didn't recommend abiraterone ! please any advice.
My husband was diagnosed with stage 4 l(ow volume) prostate cancer 18 months ago. At the Mayo Clinic, he was immediately started on hormone injections every 3 months + Abiraterone + 26 cycles of radiation. He's been in remission for over a year with his PSA remaining at < .03, which is negligible. It would be a good idea if your dad got a second opinion, as well as a PSMA Pet scan if he hasn't had one. I'm not a doctor, but that's just my two cents based on our experience. Best wishes!

The more I learn about prostate cancer, the further I fall behind. That makes me happy.
