I know I have heard that Pine is easier to dent than the alder or even ash but with the gloss finish, is it really that much more of a "risk"? I play both at home and gig but treat all my guitars with care.
@Dylan Karbowiak Pine is the softer wood and know a couple of complaints regarding shrinkage.....the pine has to be industrially dried to take all of the moisture out. Fender does this and the poly finish protects it well enough.
@Dylan Karbowiak It all depends on moisture content and how well the Poly protects/shields the wood. I know of 2 that shrinkage must have occurred as cracks appeared over the last 12+ months at the heel/neck joint.
Finally a video on the Pine Tele! But you didn't mention if the pine version is different to the alder ones tone wise and weight (if there are any?) Cheers.
It is much lighter weight but tonally very similar. The body doesn't have as much impact on the tone as the pickups. Going through the body seems to be slightly less bright but that may just be a perception thing. It would be interesting to do a blindfold test with teles that have identical necks and hardware with the only difference being the body wood. There could be a video idea there 🤔
@@music440 Thanks for replying. Ah, cool. I would've thought it would be a bit brighter for some reason but thanks for clearing things out - I'll definitely get the pine version now. :) Yeah a blindfold test would be pretty interesting especially since a lot of people still aren't sold on pine guitars. Thanks again!
Aren’t you supposed to play all of the settings to give us an example of what it actually sounds like. You’re telling is not enough. You need to do a video and show.
I just bought this one. Very nice guitar
I have this guitar in Rusted Poin
I'm Australian. We all talk like that. Are you 12? 🤣
@@music440 perhaps the roasting process was accomplished with a flaming gallah?😉🔥🦜

Good vid and product but no guitar sounds.

i owned a couple of pine strats and tele it CAN MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE.....tonally
I guess tone of a roasted pine tele is smoother than a alder one.
@@seanm4468 considering the first incarnation of the guitar in the form of the Broadcaster had a pine body, I am happy to see them returning to it
Sounds like a Fender ad. Play it.
My guitar is the same,
But
With an F-hole & pearl pick guard.
“Woodvibes” copy/2012
Much prettier😉

No playing!
Thousands of videos of people already playing. We took the approach of highlighting the specs instead of being like everyone else.
