Glycolysis

This video highlights the first stage of cellular respiration, glycolysis. During the glycolytic pathway, glucose is broken down into intermediate molecules before pyruvate is produced. During this metabolic pathway, high energy electron carrier molecules and ATP are made, which are vital to maintain the chemiosmotic phosphorylation necessary to power the cell.
