  • Michael Perl has been working on this amazing project for a year, since early 2020, creating this wonderful free App for all Droid Builders to use with their Astromech builds to create new, unique, random sounds which are still familiar as an Astromech sound.
Not only has Michael released an R2D2 specific Audio App, he has now made available a seperate app to give your other Astromechs a personality of their own.
This should work with all mobile devices and is setup to work via Bluetooth to a speaker inside your droid. We are currently working together to intergrate this system into as many other exisitng control systems as possible, hopefully with the help of the creators of each system.

Please Note: This App is not to be used for resale or commercial use without prior permission from its creator Michael Perl. This is a passion project which has been kindly gifted to the Droid Building Community by Michael who simply loves what this community is doing and is his way of showing his appreciation. If anyone would like to make a donation for this free App it can be done through his website where all proceeds from Human-Cyborg Relations will support FIRST (firstinspires.org) and Force for Change (www.starwars.c....
If anyone at Lucasfilm would like to contact us about this project, please feel free to contact Lee Towersey or Michael Perl of humancyborgrelations.com.

This is wonderful. Is there a way to download sound files after you've created them? I don't use a phone-base voice system for my droid.

Use an audio recorder, and run the voice app. play around with them. Then, throw them into an audio editor, like audacity, to crop them and save as individual files.

Thank you, Michael! For Windows, there is a file in the root folder called "R2-D2 Vocalizer" without an extension. I added ".exe" to it and runs fine.
