Thank you so much for this video, I really wanted to know how these heads work but its almost impossible to find anything on that subject.

Man that was a complicated SOB. I started working on these in the 90s, the segments and dp axis on these were a nightmare. In about 96 the S20 came along, a much better machine with a much simpler head design. We had a pile of them in Motorola Scotland and all was well until the switch rings started wearing out. This was the circular ring that the star bearing ran in. Originally made of aluminium, they were changed to an anodized part. We had to replace so many of those, the Germans in Munich didn't think we we good enough to change them - which was bollocks. The descendants of the S15 are still around - the S27 was a brilliant machine, 0201 capable with fantastic reliability. The E by Siplace has just been discontinued, sadly as again, it is an excellent machine.

+1000 for such a great video. Although I am owner and user of various SiPlace machines (S20, F3, S15 etc) but still this was informative for me.

Incredibly complicated machine that builds other machines. I can't begin to imagine the complexity of firmware/software that runs one of these machines!

i like this video very much. But can i know how the vaccum & purge function? How the connectivity and how this head to detect the unit present? If the vaccum is centralize, it should have leakage as the others arm not yet have unit.
