Lily is so simple minded I mean why the change towards the child? That's crazy....
I don’t care what’s going on in a couples life the disrespect I see coming from these mother in laws is totally unacceptable! I don’t care what the custom dictates if my husband can’t get his family in order then I will & he can go with them! They pressure these couples into having children that they are not going to take care of and in most cases they expect the children to take care of them too! That’s a lot of unnecessary pressure & stress!!

Good story but feels inconsistent towards the end. For example, there was no mention of Uzo's brother Chidi since the mom tried to turn his mind against uzo as a small child . Did the both them have a relationship as siblings? What type of person did Chidi grow up to be? Why did the Wife feel empty and alone without Uzo? Did she still have her biological son by her side?
Adding to @georgiadawes comments, you're correct, also it was an influence from lily's mother inlaw who came up with the idea of a rift between Lily and Uzo by insisting that Uzo is not fit to inherit anything as is not their biological child. Lily's was stupid to listen to her and allow that to grow and create hatred and , rejection of Uzo by her. She even forgot that she's the one who pushed for the adoption of the baby which was good and even enjoyed motherhood through him. Secondly it could be the blessings of adoption that God gifted them with their own biological child to add to the family. The lesson is that God does not discriminate. Lily forgot quickly that only God has power to give and to allocate. Grandmother who influenced lily has now suddenly turned to be an angel 😇painting herself good at the expense of lily. Life is full of surprises. I'm happy that Collins became firm and supported Uzo.👏 It's good that Uzo proved to be matured and appreciated the efforts of his adopted mother and mended their relationship.👌

The grandmother is the cause for planting the seed of evil the mother had toward Uzo. The dad is the hero in this story. once the bell has rung,.you cant unring it. Yes, forgiveness is good but the words will never be forgotten. Therefore we.must think before you act. Remember out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speak. Finally, a child may forget things he or she may learn from you but never how you made them feel. This a story with a very sweet ending. If only real life would end like this. If only.........
