She was the true light in it all. She had the credentials to make it all happen, or atleast knew someone who could. Kind of tells me good or bad, we are put together for a reason. Its our choice what we make of it.

I think the mother is asking for help when it is late. She was supposed to ask for help before she gave up her child for adoption. You can't expect to share in someone success if you were never there.
Thank you!!! Agreed!! That's what I was thinking. I am sure she had friends, family who could have helped. Find a job, food stamps have always been there, etc. etc. Just saying. In this country, there is help!!! Or maybe back then, her family was not supportive, it happens, some parents even kick the girl out. But he forgave her, after all, this woman gave him life, and obviously he had a very good one. It was his decision, and they will have a relationship now, but his parents will always be his parents too.
Well when you're a woman who is the teenager and you don't know what to do you have no choice because your parents kicked you out you have nowhere to live you have nowhere to go, because you got pregnant by someone, it's better to put into adoption then rather than putting a baby into the street I know both of them are not good but still you have to pick your battles

@@demochris1786 exactly. Sometimes the most loving thing you can do is give your baby up for adoption. Now, you can even choose the parents to ensure your child grows up in a good home.
It would have been nice if this was highlighted in the video but I don't think that this mother was out for anything from her son. She probably was very young when she gave up her son because she felt that she couldn't give him the life he deserved without him ending up on the street in a bad life. She probably lived in regret for years and out of consideration that his life had moved on also out of fear of rejection she avoided a search. However, when she recognized the possibility that this might be her son, she put aside her fears and hesitations not knowing how her son would react and did what she felt was right. She more than likely had very low expectations and being aware of her mistakes, she went through it courageously. I'm proud of this mother because I can only imagine that it took a lot for her to find and approach her son that late in life. We all make mistakes in life, sometimes major ones. However, it's growth and progress in life when we can accept accountability and correct them.
The actor playing the president needs to go to Hollywood right now!!! I swear, every time I see a Vid Chronicles episode that he’s in, his acting is on point!!! And this was a very good lesson indeed!!!
I was adopted. There is agencies out there committed to helping kids who are adopted finding their biological parents. Or vise versa as long as it was an option adoption. I found my birth mother a couple of years ago. With cooperation of my mother as well. So this one really hit home.
She didn't need forgiveness. She was clearly unable to support and care for a child. He had a good life. She did the right thing. Sometimes keep a family together is not the best decision.
Incidentally, the "mother" did not deserve forgiveness, but she received it only by the grace of our Gracious Great God.

It’s funny that she waited until he became famous and became someone important before she decided to come back in his life like a gold digger. It wasn’t a good look for her because she could have looked for him when he was younger or not so famous

I can really dig how you feel the way you do. But, couldn't it sometimes be Gods way of us challenging ourselves. I mean using the craziest of our mistakes to maybe get us to understand mistakes happen, and sometimes it could be wiser to forgive, and move forward. What agency? She left him in front of a church when he was a baby. She just so happened to see him on TV and realized the resemblance. When she met him, all she asked for was forgiveness. She would have probably had the same reaction if she saw him somewhere on the street homeless.

@@walkertrokey395 Yea, I think based on how she looked, she probably was on some type of substance abuse cycle so maybe that was a factor but still, it's messed up to abandon the kid and over the years didn't even make an effort to reach out.
Family should stick together, this mother will be sorry for dragging her son down. Reconciling would be the best, see if that happens!!

Sporadic decision are made in difficult situation. No one but God can really, and truly judge anyone's circumstances. I mean by knowing our hearts he can be the only one to know what was there at the moment the lady's son was left. One thing for sure no matter what happens in our lives you never know Gods plan for us. Somewhere, somehow this lady's son was blessed to become President. I just feel God brought them back together. The son even said himself he was willing to forgive her, and move on. So, God is a forgiving God, and sometimes uses the weak to be that example to, and for all of us. I found joy in the sons willingness for forgive, and not use either of there circumstances to boil into hate.Find love in something like this for me is the power of Gods work in us as an example. 🕊

It looks to me like it was a blessing in disguise for her to put her son up for adoption because it led to him being president 😌. If she had kept him and raised him what's the likelihood he would have had the same opportunities?
