@shoujobarton7692 - Hard to say if Ellie is a vegan. Maybe she just won't kill the food. Granny has cooked all kinds of animals and served them for their suppers and other meals. Like owl burgers, baked possum, gopher gravy and pigs feet to name a few.

I think it was only if it concerned one of her "critters" that she had domesticated and bonded with. See video from about 1:45 onward. Pretty well sums up my dietary philosophy! I SO much miss the gentle humor of this show!
