Sisko was kind of crazy in the head. It was nothing for Sisko to gamble everybody's life on hunches but what really strikes me funny is Starfleet letting a caption have a command of a whole fleet of starships. Real navies don't do that with that low of ranking officers.

All the more reason why I hate the "genetically enhanced" revelation. It really undermines Bashir's character, especially in the early seasons.
